Love this land! Privacy. Nature. (Deer, Owls)
I rented this home for my family to stay in for my son's wedding at the Canyon wood Ridge wedding venue in Dripping Springs.. It was conveniently located 10 minutes away. There were children of different ages who really enjoyed the wooded grounds and tree house. We did not have time to use the zip line, but it looked like lots of fun. We all enjoyed the game tables in the garage. It was a very peaceful setting and we enjoyed seeing the deer at the edge of the property at dusk. All of the bedrooms were good size and the beds were extremely comfortable. The house was arranged so that the family could enjoy being together, while still having privacy. The house was well equipped, and the owners were extremely accommodating.
If there had been WiFi, I would have given this home 5 stars.
We enjoyed our stay at this property while attending a family wedding at La Hacienda. The owners were very accessible and the property comfortably accommodated our party of seven. Large rooms, a nice kitchen, & two living room areas make it a perfect place to entertain.
The house and land are perfect for a stay in the Texas Hill County. The house has everything you need to enjoy a weekend away and all the comforts we enjoy at home (huge bath for the kids to play in as well). Our stay included lots of rainy weather and the house was large enough and comfortable enough for lots of indoor time.
Would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I rented this house for us and the wedding party to stay at during our wedding festivities. It was beautiful and spacious and not too far from the city. We definitely had room for everyone and the house had everything we needed (plus two or three chickens wandering around which were adorable). We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this rental to large groups coming in from out of town (there were 8 of us). Although I would recommend bringing bug spray, we wandered through the underbrush to use the zip-line and everyone got covered in chigger bites.
The house was great, we had a bachelor party there and had plenty of room for everyone. The pool table, air hockey table, and zip line were a huge plus also. The owner is extremely nice and helpful and close by if you need any assistance. We will be staying there again and highly recommend this house to anyone.
I'll try and make this as thorough as possible! There were 11 of us there for 3 nights in mid-april of 2016. We all slept pretty comfortably and had room for activities.
First, Brian, the owner was super easy to deal with. We honestly never crossed paths but he was very responsive to any questions. He also brought us a new set of cue balls for the pool table at one point and left them at the front entrance for us when we returned. Seems like a super nice guy, returned the security deposit promptly upon leaving too!
The house has a funky but awesome layout. There is a top floor master with a bathroom (room could easily accommodate a cot if needed), a ground level master with an insanely nice bathroom, a second smaller room on that level, 2 bedrooms on the second floor and a bathroom there. The main 1st floor level has a large foyer area, dining area, nice modern kitchen and a TV room. There is also a door that goes over to the attached garage that has a room above it too. The garage area had a pool table and air hockey table. The pool table was awesome, the air hockey was a little sticky, but still managed some games. We used that area as our main hang often with some music, games and beer. There's a table out there and a grill outside. Along the back of the house there is also a separate patio area too.
The house is set back a ways from the road and we never really saw any neighbors except Brian's house. There were a whole bunch of deer that we saw as well as road runners which was cool. So it was nice to be secluded enough to play some music and not be bothering neighbors.
The house is a little outside the city. It was about a 20-25 minute ride to the main drags of downtown Austin (6th, Rainey, So Congress) which cost us about 17-25 for standard Lyfts into town, but it wasn't hard. Lyfts showed up in about 10 minutes generally and they were easy rides. In terms of balancing cost and accessibility, I was fine with it.
Close to the house (under 10 minute walk) is the Rusty Mule which is a pretty cool outdoor hang. Mix of families and social outings. Indoor and outdoor area with food trucks, corn hole, and booze. It's also a short drive to Jester King Brewery which is well worth the visit.
While the location wasn't perfect, it was still fine and worked well for our needs. There isn't any wi-fi but service on our phones was strong. We didn't watch much of it, but there was cable on the TV.
I recommend the stay. Good price for the quality!
Downtown Austin is within minutes. Bee Caves, Lake Austin and Dripping Springs are easily accessible. Hamilton Pool is close to BeeCaves. Mini Golf in Dripping Springs and Austin and Lakeway. Grocery stores 3 miles. Convenience stores close. Austin Zoo very close. Winery and vineyard nearby. From pottery to pizza. Location Location Location.
