About Mary Gerhart
. We are a couple that enjoy meeting new people and sharing the peace we experience in rural Bucks County, PA.
Why Mary Gerhart chose Kintnersville
We have owned this property for several years and often thought about sharing the rural peace and tranquility it gives to us. There is something about getting out of from the noise and 'rat race' and coming to the woods for a true rejuvenating Get-Away. Come see for yourself. When is the last time you woke up and everything was calm and peaceful around you?

Great place for the whole family
This place was fantastic. I took my 4 kids and several of their friends for some/all of the week. There's so much space that everyone had their own place to "hang." The teenagers were on the 3rd floor bedrooms, younger kids on the 2nd and adults on the first floor - Fantastic!
The house was clean and well maintained. There's enough around to do day trips (lake, caverns, zip line, etc). The huge yard gave the dog plenty of room to run and enjoy herself as well. Having Netflix allowed us to have movie night in the great room and I used the sun porch for my "work space" during the day.
I would definitely return - in fact my 12 year old asked to come back around Christmas time. That's a raving endorsement!!
Thanks so much
Comfortable stay in the country
We were 10 people and the five bedrooms worked perfectly for us. The top floor bedrooms were hot when we arrived (early August) but the window air conditioners cooled the rooms sufficiently. The family room was delightful for eating together and congregating in the evening. The location felt secluded but yet only 12 minutes from the Kimberton Whole Foods and 10 minutes from Lake Nockamixon. We enjoyed our stay.
Family Accommodations for Wedding
We were very pleased with this home. It was large enough to accommodate several family members comfortably for a wedding we were attending in Horsham PA. The house was clean and comfortable, and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. Mary, the owner was very helpful and pleasant to visit with. During our stay we went to Ringing Rocks State Park and Belmar Beach on the Jersey Shore -- both able to be done as a day trip from this location. One family group spent the day in Quakertown and Doylestown hitting the antique shops. There is plenty to do for all.
I would stay here again if we travel to PA in a large group.
Perfect family vacation
This property was exactly what we needed to bring our large family together for the first time in six years. We were especially thrilled with the giant living room/dining room, where we were able to spend many hours together. My mother was absolutely overjoyed with the screened porch, since she doesn't get to spend much time out in the fresh air. The visiting nieces and nephews had fun running all over the property. My brothers appreciated the opportunity to grill hamburgers. The house had all the amenities we needed, including a full-sized stove, oven, fridge, washer, and dryer. That made everything easier for all of us. Also, the master bathroom and bedroom are on the ground floor, which my parents appreciated. The Chalet is not the Taj Mahal, but we loved every part of it. We really enjoyed the combination of rustic charm and modern amenities, and we hope to come back in the coming years. This place is a hidden gem, and we are so glad we found it. We all wanted to stay longer and we all left with good memories!
space to play and hang out
excellent place inside and out. plenty of space for the kids to play and roam. all we needed! bikes and games room were fun.
creek near by and pond all very interesting to explore.
outside we could play in the field, egg hunt, build a fire, sit and enjoy the down time we had.
house was very comfortable and all we needed.
the large table in the lounge was THE BEST for eating and playing games on.
mary and erik (owners) were ace, very accommodating and flexible.
reckon we'll be back....
A GREAT place to escape away for a family get together. Hospitality was on point with everything.
We rented the Chalet for a 4 day family reunion and it was better than we could have imagined! We were lucky to have a late spring snowfall, so everything was white and picturesque - although the driveway and surrounding roads were cleared and easily accessible 😁. Mary thought of every detail and the house instructions were clear, simple, and thorough. The local town was close enough for anything you need from the grocery store, plus the drive through the country is relaxing.
Although cold and snowy during our trip, the Chalet's close access to the lake will surely draw us back for another stay. Thank you, Mary - for such a memorable place for our family reunion.
