Cozy Cottage in woodsy setting

  • 5 of 5

We were on a girl's getaway to Acadia National Park in Maine and we stayed in this adorable cottage that was perfect for us. It is nestled in a woodsy environment, near the water so we could walk or drive to see the sun set on the water. We could see a deer and a fat rabbit in the yard as we drank our morning coffee! The cottage has everything one would need and it is spotlessly clean. It is furnished tastefully and comfortably. We received very helpful advice from the rental agent about how to get there, and what to see and do in this gorgeous area. We highly recommend this cute cottage as an ideal place to enjoy the area and relax.

A cozy cottage in lovely Winter Harbor

  • 5 of 5

Emily's cottage was perfect for our three week stay in Winter Harbor. It is well laid out, comfortable and functional. The bedroom and dining area look out at a well-tended garden in front of the woods. We were visited by hummingbirds, a porcupine and a rabbit, as well as multiple red squirrels. The area is quiet but within walking distance of the small commercial center of Winter Harbor and within driving distance of the Schoodic division of Acadia National Park. The gas fire in the sitting/dining area was perfect to take the chill off in the mornings. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped, especially for guests who stay only a few days. We very much appreciated Emily replacing the tea kettle when it sprang a leak. As longer term renters, we would have enjoyed a few additions to the kitchen, such as a colander and larger cooking utensils. We also would have enjoyed a reading light in the sitting/dining area. But overall, very happy with our stay and hoping to return.

Beautiful & Cozy Cottage

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for three short days at this property. The cottage itself was centrally located and well appointed with all you could need. The gardens were so beautiful in full bloom. Laura and Emily were so easy to work with and very helpful. Be sure to stop at JM Gerrish and the 5 and dime in town, they aren't to be missed.

This has nothing to do with the property experience but is more of a travel tip, Winter Harbor was originally named Mosquito Bay - plan accordingly. And, remember you are in a national park, cell service is spotty. Luckily Emily offers wi-fi.

Thank you Emily and Laura for making our holiday weekend! We would stay here again in a minute.
