About Robin Brown
We fell in love with Puerto Morelos as soon as we got here, on a vacation on 2006. We just envisioned ourselves living in this beautiful fisher's town, enjoying the blue sea and the beach every day and sharing it with friends. So we bought the land right away! We constructed the Guesthouse from the ground up and finished it in August 2013. A year later finished the Cafe and the rooftop. Puerto Morelos is a secret gem on the Mayan Riviera and we love having the place we always dreamed about and sharing it with visitors.
Robin Brown purchased this Bed And Breakfast in 2013
Why Robin Brown chose Puerto Morelos
Layla is located in the oldest part of town, Barrio SoMo, including the oldest port in the Yucatan, Mayan Artesan Market and many restaurants and shops.
What makes this Bed And Breakfast unique
Layla is all about making you feel at home. The only place in town where you can relax, eat fresh and healthy delights from Mexican cuisine and Asian-Fusion dishes with natural juices, renew your style at our hair salon or enjoy a therapeutic massage at our Spa and have fun on our special music events. Also our private tour offers you the opportunity to experience the true Mayan world. You will visit a local wood carver´s compound, get to know the history of the Mayan culture, swim inside a breathtaking million-year old cenote and learn how to make your own “tortilla” before enjoying a traditional Yucatecan meal prepared by Grandma Chichi´s own hands. Have the chance to do yoga while you watch the sunset over Puerto Morelos amazing mangrove or just chill.
