About Jorge Martinez

Born in Havana-Cuba moving to the USA in 1969. Grew up mostly in the South Bay of Los Angeles County graduating from Mira Costa High School in 1975. Have lived in Manhattan Beach, Torrance, Long Beach, Bakersfield, and now Palm Springs. Hospitality has been my carrier since my first job just out of high school. Now enjoying life to the fullest and sharing a piece of Paradise with my guests.

Why Jorge Martinez chose Warm Sands

Being in the Hospitality Industry all my life I long dreamed of owning my own business where I could provide deluxe, comfortable, and personable but yet private accommodations for travelers from all parts of the world. Since the late 1970’s I often vacationed in Palm Springs where I always enjoyed the warm sunny weather and relaxing resort style atmosphere this wonderful town has to offer. The Mid-Century Modern architecture, majestic mountains surrounding the valley and historic Hollywood movie star flair are but a few features that makes Palm Springs like no other location in the world.

When it came time to choose the destination for my dream I considered other locations like Hawaii and Key West, but the charm and location of this amazing desert city far outweighed any others I could have chosen. So, in 1996 I made the best decision I ever made in my life and chose Palm Springs to live out my dream. Since then my experience here has surpass my expectations and every day that goes by I continue to find new exiting things to see and do, and what a great feeling it is to share that with my guests!

The central location of this property is one of the unique benefits you will enjoy with the ability to walk downtown for shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and the active night life that makes Palm Springs one of the most desired vacation destinations in the world. Additional benefits include having your very own full kitchen, relaxing by the heated pool and spa, and enjoying the majestic views of our beautiful mountains which include hiking trails, waterfalls, and local flora. Built in the late 1950’s a recent renovation has incorporated modern touches with the Mid-Century Modern architecture that was original to the building resulting in a mix between history and today’s comfort necessities.

The best unique benefit I can personally offer you is the most honest, personable, and friendly service in the Industry while respecting your privacy. I personally handle all aspects of my vacation rental apartments and look forward to being of service.

Great Retro Getaway

If you're yearning for the the 50's....this is the place! A comfy apartment, walk-able to downtown Palm Springs. Jorge was very accessible to our needs and made us feel welcome. The apartment we stayed in (no.4), was perfect for a couple. The pool was steps away. We recommend a stay.

Great little holiday getaway

Always the perfect stay!!

I have lost count how many times I have stayed at this quiet spot! I usually stay for a month in August each year; however, I needed a quick little weekend getaway in October, and once again, I had the perfect Palm Springs experience.

The apartment itself is always impeccably clean and has everything a visitor would need. Jorge has years of hotel management experience, and it shows in the way he maintains his property and treats each of his guests. Each morning I was able to do some reading in the pool surrounded by birds chirping and each afternoon I was able to walk or drive into downtown Palm Springs which is literally minutes away.

Staying at his property is like visiting a friend! I can't recommend this place enough. As always, I am already looking forward to returning soon.

Cute, relaxing place

Very cute place. The bed was comfortable. It had all the basic necessities that we needed. Lounging by the pool was very relaxing. Very close to downtown and the local grocery store. Ideal place if you are looking to unwind. The only issue we had were the loud neighbors partying really loud at 2am one night and the following night again. Otherwise, I definitely recommend Jorge's place and look forward in coming back.

Owner's Response: Corina was a great guest, very self sufficient and taking good care of the property. I am sorry the neighbors partying was an issue, I wish I would have known about this when it was happening as I would have put an immediate stop to it. I include "no partying" in my house rules and normally it is not an issue but if it ever happens again please let me know as I will not allow it.

The most relaxing place in Palm Springs!

This has been the 5th summer I have stayed at this beautiful place. I keep coming back because it has everything a person searching for a respite can find.

The apartment and grounds are immaculate, complete with everything you need to feel at home while on vacation. The bed and the couch (which unfolds into a bed) are extremely comfortable. The pool and the hot tub are always clean, clear and ready to enjoy. In fact, I spent most of my month stay floating in the pool reading my kindle. Doing so is possible because the area is so quiet. Often times, the only sound you hear is the birds chirping. The peacefulness you achieve at this rental can't be beat.

For those moments you want to go shopping or to the bars or to sightsee on the Tram, they are literally minutes away by car. Most often, I would walk to downtown which was a pleasant 15 minute walk.

The owner, Jorge, is the best and goes above and beyond to make my stay perfect. He has been in this industry for years and the quality of his work shows. Whether you want local suggestions or complete privacy, he provides it. He even has freshly cut flowers waiting inside each apartment for the arrival of his guests! You can't get this level of kindness peacefulness and relaxation at a resort or other vacation rentals.

Thank you, Jorge, for another perfect summer, and I am looking forward to year #6 in summer 2018!
