About Maria Cristina Arena

Hi Everyone,

my name is Maria Cristina but everyone calls me Cristina since 1983 when I was born in Rome. I grew up in Rome and I really love my eternal city.

I'm an experienced host and I've always wanted to share all my knowledge about this wonderful city with people around me especially to those who visit it for the first time.

In my life I have always been involved into some touristic jobs because I love travelling.

I studied languages at school and I travelled a lot all around the world to improve my English. I thank my American family for helping me!

I started my working life being a cabin crew member for Alitalia and continued working on touristic "hop-on hop-off" double decker touristic buses in Rome.

My love and passion for this particular job blossomed after working like a receptionist in a famous Roman Hotel.

I decided to start my own job and being "the boss of myself" with my two apartments.

What is different? I'm not an agency, I'm a private owner and for me it's very important to get better each day of my life.

I started renting my apartments in 2006 and after over 10 years I can say I'm very satisfied and proud to manage my properties with love and care like a pro.

I met so many people from all around the world and I learned a lot for each one of them. Every single feedback from you is important! Every suggestion, tip or help is really appreciated!

I know how much important is for my guests to feel themselves at home when away from their country and I will always try my best to leave a memorable memory of my Rome!

I will be available for you night and day and of course I will be glad to host you in my apartments!

Feel free to write me all your questions or requests!

Take care,

Cristina

Very Comfortable and Clean Apartment

  • 5 of 5

This is a very comfortable and clean apartment that provides easy access to all of the major sites in Rome. My daughter and I had a great time staying there during our visit to the city. The supermarket is one block away, and makes shoping for cooking easy. It is about 10 minutes away from St. Peter's Square, and there are several buses from the neighborhood that takes you downtown easily. Cristina is a very excellent hostess, that makes you feel at home and welcome. This was initiated with a bottle of Chianti which we were welcome with upon our arrival, after a long drive from Genoa. All the amenities at the apartment are working and it is a very safe building both night and day. I will stay there again if I am back in the Rome.

Best apartment on our ten week european trip

  • 5 of 5

BlueClassicHome apartment is in a great residential area, there are fruit shops bakeries supermarkets restaurants all in the same street. We could walk to the Vatican and the bus stop is close by. We stayed in Rome for eight nights and caught the bus everywhere, it is very easy, all you have to do is read the bus signs and they tell you all the stops. I recommend staying in Rome for more than five nights as there is so much to see, you want to enjoy it and not be rushed.

The apartment is huge, although the bathroom and kitchen is small, they are very functional and have everything you need. Although the kitchen was bigger than a lot of other kitchens throughout Europe. The television had an English entertainment channel, the only apartment on our ten week holiday. The apartment has a lovely balcony that faced a park across the street, which we enjoyed an afternoon drink on everyday. The apartment has beautiful old Italian furniture in it, but it is not flash, it is very charming. For the price this apartment was way bigger than all the apartments we stayed in throughout our journey.

Finally the host Cristina was lovely and she emailed and answered all my questions before we left home and greeted us at the apartment. You could call her whenever you liked for whatever advice you needed. I highly recommend Blue Classic Home amd Cristina for your stay in Rome.

Roman Holiday

  • 5 of 5

Cristina is prompt, professional and proficient. She is a pleasure to deal with. The apartment is very large and very well laid out. The living room is large and can accommodate extra adults with privacy. I understand the bathroom is being upgraded currently. You are about 15 minutes by foot from the Vatican and the area is extremely well connected by an efficient bus system. Metro not convenient but not essential either. The area has all necessary services but is rather busy and bustling. There is noise from the street, but then again, must of Rome is rather noisy. I short, a lovely experience and hope to repeat next year. Thank you Cristina.

Owner's Response: Thanks a lot Maurizio, I'll be more then happy to welcome you again next year. Currently June 2014, we are renewing the bathroom so pictures of the brand new bathroom will be shown soon (after September 2014). I agree with you about the Metro, it is not essential for Rome since the bus system around the apartment allows you to reach every part of the city and San Pietro Basilica is a short walk away. About the street noise, as you know it is all about from 16:30 to 17:00 when young children get off school, which is in front of the apartment. The small playground in front of the apartment during spring and summer time has playing kids which lighten up our days. Usually when windows are closed during winter and fall time, noise is almost non-existent. Thanks a lot again. Cristina
