We had a great time there. The place is very spacious and comfortable. Even it rained during our first day there, couldn’t do much outdoor, there were still lot of things to do indoor like playing ping pong, air hockey in the garage, or hot tubbing.
Will recommend it definitely.
We loved this house!
We came for a weekend with three families that have a total of 5 kids under the age of 6. There was ample space for everyone. The house was clean and comfortable. We hope to make this visit an annual tradition!
Very cozy and pleasant. Highly recommend.
We rented this cabin with two families with several teenage boys. There was plenty of room to spread out, and it wasn’t super fancy (just comfortable), so we didn’t worry about their every move! We had every amenity that we wanted, and little things like the twinkle lights in the dining room made it feel special for the holidays. We will definitely rent this place again.
Hi Calah - we are so glad you enjoyed your stay at the Baker Lodge during the Christmas Holiday. It is very popular for just the reasons you mentioned. It's spacious living areas are meant for larger groups of all ages, to spread out and be comfortable! We look forward to hosing you again in the near future. Summer is also great at Mt Baker! Thank you again, and Top of the Mountain to you! - Steph
Baker Lodge is the perfect place for a crowd.
We had a fun filled few days of skiing at Mt Baker with a crowd of teenagers. During our stay we had a huge storm and a power cut,
but it only added to the experience...we had more than enough space, lots of games, delightful setting by the stream, and
close proximity to the town of Glacier. The owner's representative was extremely efficient and helpful, even dispatching her son to
make sure we were all right when the power went out!!! We would highly recommend the house, and would love to return another day.
Thank you so much for the nice review Lorna ! We are so glad although you dealt with a Power Outage into the evening hours, you made the most of it. Please let us know the next time you will be in the area. We look forward to hosting you again. Best, Stephanie
Stinky with no light bulbs
My family and I stayed in this house for two nights, and while the lot is nice with a pretty back yard and seemingly plenty of space, the house itself left something to be desired. Upon arrival, many of the lights in the house had burnt out lightbulbs, which was a little annoying. One of the coffee pots was broken, but the real issue was in the garage/loft/game rooms. In theory, there is plenty to keep adults and kids entertained between the pool and foosball tables in an area separate from the main living area. But in reality, the room with the pool table smells so horrible of mildew and mold, we didn't even go in there. The upstairs where the Foosball and bunk beds were had a different yet pungeant smell as well. Only one of the window shades were functional, and the beds and pillows were terrible, so bring your own. It's a shame, because this place has real potential to be a charming and fun place to vacation with a large group, but the mildew and stench was unbearable.
Although your review was not a positive one, we do appreciate the feedback, and plan to address them. Here is our response. The Baker Lodge is our most popular rental, and is rented consistently every weekend during the busy summer and winter seasons, as well as the off seasons. We have not had any negative comments since it has been in our rental pool. You did contact us several times during your stay, and should have mentioned the lightbulbs, we would have gladly replaced them right away. Housekeeping should have notified us, but most of the time, they are cleaning during the day, and not at night. The Baker Lodge is an older home and is in the mountains, which does contribute to some musty odors (not mold), but we do our best to be proactive every week while cleaning, we will discuss with the owners about some possible options/solutions, that might help (The game room is in the basement (not heated in a garage). We do an inventory of all bedding and linens twice a year (or as needed), and are aware of needed items and will be replacing them soon, before the busy winter season. The coffeemaker is working and functional. We hope you enjoyed all the other amenities the area, and the community, had to offer. Thank you again.
My extended family of 12 had the best time at this house in Snowline. There was plenty of room for all of us. 4 full baths, a perfect kids room over the game room, and three other bedrooms accommodated us all just fine. As soon as we arrived the big and little guys hit the game room, playing pool, air hickey, ping pong, and foosball. We enjoyed the hot tub in the cool evenings. We roasted hot dogs and s'mores around the fire pit. The kitchen was big enough for many of us to cook at one time. We walked to the pond with a little stream and played on the playground. Boys played basketball and tether ball near the community pool. Even the little ones played in the pool, although we thought it was chilly! We all walked down to the Nooksack trail for a short hike to the roaring river. We drove to the top of Mt. Baker for great mountain views and hikes. A little conveniece store is only 2 minutes away. Horseshoe bend trail and Nooksack Falls are nearby. The community of Snowline is peaceful and lovely. Stephanie went out of her way to make sure that everything was in good working order before we arrived, and it was. Snowline is the community to choose, and if you need space for 12 with a huge 8 person hot tub, a fire pit, and game tables, this is the property you want. We did not stay during ski season, but I can see that this is perfect for a ski trip, too!
Located in the private Snowline gated community just 20 minutes to the Mt Baker Ski Area!
