so convenient, sunny, and clean

Wonderful location, a very clean and quiet apartment with large windows. The subway was super convenient with many small restaurants, several groceries a pharmacy all close by. There were several problems but non seriously impacted our stay. The curtain in one of the bedrooms was stuck in the closed position. It did let in light so that was OK. I never did figure out the hot water in the shower but others seemed to be able to get it working. A more stable and responsive system would be appreciated. And lastly the dishes were barely adequate. There were two wine glasses, one so large I could not hold it comfortably. The problem, a small dull pareing knife was not adequate for cutting up bread etc. There was no cutting board so we had to improvise and do our cutting on a plate.

All that said we were very comfortable and loved being in a very safe and clean neighborhood.

Nice space, good location, needs some attention to detail

The apartment was a fine size for 3, but with o let one bathroom some additional mirrors to get ready would improve the space a ton! The shower didn’t drain and the heat was on a timer to go up as high as 85! I woke up in the middle of the night so hot our first night. The living room was nice except the chair is not great for hanging out, watching tv. Overall it was fine for the weekend trip but I won’t be staying here my next visit.

The location was close to subway stations and coffee shops which is great. It says parking, and when I emailed to ask what specifically they said street parking. We found a spot not too far away and ended up with $200 in parking tickets even though there were no signs indicating parking restrictions.

Owner's Response: Hello Thank you for taking the time to remit a review, I really appreciate it. I have relayed shower drainage issue to the housekeeper and we will address it right away. As far as thermostat settings, I always advise my housekeeper and/or the renter to set the heat to 70 and HOLD... because unfortunately, some renters do play around with our thermostat and make strange alterations. It is obviously NOT in our best interest to have the heat go up to 85 since we are footing the heating bill (but hey, it's great to know it works so well!). There is for fee garage parking on our block and there are a lot of on street parking available for free (however NYC signage can be tricky). I am sorry you got a ticket.

Great base for a NYC stay

Terrific to have a two bedroom apartment with cooking and laundry facilities.

One block from the subway, 4-5 blocks from supermarket, bars/restaurants nearby and close to Central Park. Terrific location.

Clean, Convenient with a wonderful price point !

This is our second visit to this property and we have been very pleased both times. My husband and I are a retired couple with children and grand children living in NYC so we visit often and rent with Homeaway consistently. We also travel a great deal and understand how important it is to be accurate in our review of housing.

First, renting and working with Jennifer is so easy. She responds within a day to any email and answers questions carefully. Her apartment manager Nick is also a gem. He has met us promptly both times we have checked in with keys and information about the apartment.

The Wifi and Fios TV work well, no issues. All described amenities are updated and modern. ( I am referencing air conditioning, coffee maker, etc. )

The apartment is a two bedroom, one full bath which is large. Having been in many NYC hotels and apartments in the past.......I would consider this spot on the medium to large side. One of the bedrooms does not have a closet but there is a nice, large cubby to store items in. The other bedroom has a very large closet considering it is NYC , a town not know for lots of closet space. We have never used the pull out sleeper in the living area but it is available.

Four adults can easily handle this rental.

The location is ideal..........2 subway trains within walking distance that take you anywhere in the city. For those who love to walk ......Central Park is just a few short blocks and any quick restaurant or grocery store is within 2 blocks. The Upper East Side has some wonderful restaurants that are easy to access. We have always felt safe here as the building is well lit as is the area surrounding the building. It's New York......people bustling and policemen are visible and helpful.

Jennifer has kept her price very fair for this space. NYC is pricey but this spot is very reasonable for the amount of space, the location and amenities offered. A traveler would have a hard time finding a hotel for this price / this area with this amount of space and amenities.

Overall, I would recommend this rental with enthusiasm. Thanks, Jennifer and Nick for being so helpful and thorough.
