The Sonoma Bungalow is set under the giant oaks of California. This recently remodeled 2 bedroom home is surrounded by nature. Trees are seen from every window. This peaceful retreat is beautifully decorated with art and artifacts from the owners travels around the world. It has hardwood hickory floors covered in oriental carpets, a travertine tile bathroom with views into the trees from bath or shower, skylights, hand-tiled wood burning fireplace, a hot tub to relax in, and all new kitchen with cherry cabinets, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and gas stove. There is a 32' inch flat-screen TV, access to Netflix and Pandora (no cable for those who want to escape a bit of the real world), and high speed wifi.
There are queen-size beds in both bedrooms with lush down bedding. One bedroom has a cut-out in the wall with a curtain separating it from the central room (see if pics). The front deck has a large cedar dining table and wrap around outdoor couch. Perfect for a meal under the oaks. The back deck, off one of the bedrooms, is a quiet spot to read a book or soak in the 2 person hot tub.
The bungalow is located 3 miles from the Sonoma square in a quiet, residential neighborhood with mostly owner occupied homes. The street is filled with old, live oak trees and in the winter and spring a babbling creek flows through the property. During the summer months all you can hear at night is the sound of crickets.
After a day of wine tasting or exploring the Sonoma/Napa Valleys, return to your retreat, park behind the gated entrance and cross the bridge to rest under the oaks, relax on the expansive redwood deck, soak in the hot tub or dine outdoors under the shade. Perfect for enjoying the beautiful warm Sonoma days and evenings.
