This was such a beautiful property that was very well stocked with everything we needed to be very comfortable! It was in a very good location that was within walking distance to everything in the downtown area. I’d definitely stay there again!!
Weekend getaway in downtown Asheville
The Loft itself is very nice... it is warm and cozy and quaint and charming ....hardwood floors and exposed brick walls .....the kitchen is fully stocked ....the beds were comfortable ....and there were plenty of spots just for curling up with a good book. Other reviews spoke of very little natural light and yes there is only one window and it's small but overall the lighting in the loft was compensation enough for me to deal without a lot of natural light. There were two things that I did not like about it however ....the noisy environment and the lack of parking. The Loft is adjacent to a pub and it's open until 2 a.m. and it was noisy until 2 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday evenings. The staff recommends parking in a public parking lot because of negative feedback associated with a church parking lot ....I wonder why they even have the church parking lot as part of their instructions. The public parking lots charges $10 per day (Yonder staff was not able to tell me this) and is an uphill walk from The Loft so lugging any sort of heavy baggage is a challenge. There were no bathtubs in this particular Loft.
Thanks for taking the time to post this review. We do appreciate it. First, we're very happy you thought the Loft was very nice and charming. We do apologize for the noise you experienced from the pub a few doors down. They are in the midst of securing sound proofing elements which should reduce some of the ambient noise. We will have a discussion with them this week. Typically we don't have many issues. With regards to parking, we have not heard of negative feedback associated with the Church parking lot, but will have a discussion with our inquiry team about this. We do recommend in our Welcome Book parking briefly on the street in front of the Lofts to unload luggage. Again, we do appreciate your review even when it points out issues that need to be looked at and improved. Thanks and we hope we will be able to take care of your accommodation needs next time you visit us in the mountains.
Nice and convenient to downtown but parking - ugh
We enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable condo for 2 couples. However, 2nd bedroom is very small. There is a large armoire that could be a smaller piece. No closet but there are hangers on wall hooks that work just fine for a short stay. Master bedroom was nice. Kitchen was well stocked. I do recommend this. However, the parking is awful. Possibly a overall downtown problem but $24 for 24 hours is ridiculous in lot recommended in paperwork. I can’t imagine how much trouble it would be to stay and park in the summer. Asheville is great to walk around and you don’t need a car so having someplace to leave it as part of the place you stay would be fantastic.
Thanks John. At Yonder, we so appreciate guest feedback -- yes, even when/if that feedback challenges us to do and be better, as is the case here. We will definitely share your comments with the owners and review where improvements can be made (i.e. a smaller armoire.) We have tried to do out best with providing as many photos on VRBO/HomeAway as we can to give you the best representation of all rooms and the sizes. Unfortunately VRBO/HomeAway oly allow 24 photos on the slide show which is a bit restrictive. Our site for Yonder has more photos (yondernc.com) Like many cities, parking is an issue and to some degree out of our control, but we are always looking for solutions and alternatives.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts and we do hope you visit with Yonder again.
Excellent location, great accomodation
It was a great place to stay for the five of us. right in downtown, near everything, great pub type restaurant next door. There was a little problem with hot water and they fixed it immediately. We recommend.
Thank you for your 5 star review of this downtown loft! We agree that it offers plenty of amenities in a wonderful location! We hope you will come stay with Yonder again soon!
Great location-walk to everything-restaurants-breweries-nice architecture
Well managed/easy check-in. Perfect for 2 couples. Parking was a challenge walking with bags. No windows or natural light-2nd bedroom a bit small. Beautifully designed and stocked with everything you will need for a visit. Nice kitchen. Very nice bathrooms. Basically, it is a perfect VRBO if you want to explore the town-the location could not be better. If you want to hang out inside-the living area is cozy, no dining table. But you're in Asheville so you WANT to be out. Check in is 4PM and check out is 10AM, so you may want to stay more than a night to optimize your visit. Some reviews mentioned the noise, but we didn't hear much at all.
The Lofts are a true "downtown gem", in the heart of downtown Asheville. They are perfect for staying downtown, exploring & experiencing the city, and eating at the world-renowned restaurants. There is a fully stocked kitchen, but no dining room, as space is at a premium for downtown Lofts. The bedrooms afford luxurious beds, but are for sleeping, and not spacious like your own Master bedroom in your home. Get a great night's sleep without the light or noise of the city, then get up and get out to explore and enjoy all that Asheville has to offer!
Come experience true luxury and the "downtown experience"!
Loft was beautifully decorated and everything was in good shape. We wanted to be downtown and this is right in the heart of downtown. Had first night with loud neighbors and I worried if we bit off more than we should --- but the other nights were lovely. Husband had difficult time with too few windows but all in all it was a great stay. We found the people with Yonder to be very friendly and helpful when needed. I'm really glad we stayed at Loft 102.
Thank you for the review, and we are likewise glad you chose to stay with Yonder at lovely Loft 102. We are also thrilled to share that the Altamont Theater is closing this Fall, and being replaced by 2 more residential units; thus no more "noisy neighbors"; yay!!
The Lofts are right downtown, which is a different atmosphere than a cabin in the mountains, but they are spectacular, close to everything, and very nicely appointed for a luxurious stay.
