It is the perfect holiday home, it is built on 3 levels, in 3 separate pods, and perfectly caters for a family or 2, 3 or 4 couples.

As you walk up the steps you arrive at the pool terrace, where spectacular vistas open up to you, a real wow factor! On this level you will find the 30X10 ft pool, with sun loungers and side tables.

There is a 40 foot loggia, with pool kitchen, a dining table that sits 8, and a comfortable seating area. There are 2 ceiling fans, and a stand alone floor fan, also white drapes which makes the area intimate and private.

On the next level is the great room, the hub of the villa. The open-plan room measures 26X24ft. It has seating for 8 on sofas and armchairs, a gourmet kitchen with all the mod cons, a computer desk, T.V. and D.V.D. There is a hobbies closet, with lots of games and books.

The roof terrace is on the same elevation, with a panoramic, jaw-dropping view, spanning 270 degrees. It has comfortable seating, perfect for sun-downer cocktails, and the ideal location to view the famous Caribbean 'Green Flash'. The terrace is also wonderful for viewing the stars and meteors at night. You can be as active or as lazy as you want, and visitors to the villa have been known to book their sun-lounger, and not move for a week, just hypnotised by the views of the pelicans diving for their food, or the booby birds, stealing each others catch. You can also spend the day looking out for the bay's resident turtles, and maybe spot a humpbacked whale.

At Cliffdwellers there is a small shop for essentials, a gift shop and the house manager and security onsite. A food welcome pack can be organised for you on arrival and the manager can organise a car to be delivered to the villa.

Keywords: Breathtaking panoramic views, total privacy, secure gated community, air-conditioned bedrooms, generous covered verandahs, pool, unique roof terrace.

About The Owner

We have been visiting Nevis for 20 years, being attracted to it by the friendly Nevisians and laid-back way of life. Nevis ticked all the boxes for us, an active tennis and golf scene, lots of interesting hikes, and long early morning walks on the beach. When we realised that there was a great music scene at Oualie Hotel, we decided this island was perfect. We visit winter and summer, to get away from the cold westerly winds of Northern Europe. We found our precipitous seafront plot in 2004 and could not believe our luck. We organised a builder and architect and quickly got the project on the road. We are thrilled with the finished result. We hope you enjoy staying at our much loved second home as much as we do.

The Owner purchased this villa in 2006

Why The Owner chose Jones Estate

Perfect for couples, families or a group of friends as there are so many seating areas for privacy or communal areas for dining and socialising.

What makes this villa unique

Our villa is unique on Nevis as it is high on a cliff with great sea views, easy for turtle and marine life watching, and also in March, passing whales.

Guestbook comments from the manager

You are so blessed to have this glorious place, and we are so blessed in finding it and that you allowed us to stay here, this is an experience that I will never forget.

Your garden is amazing, and I loved watching the hummingbirds dart in and out of the yellow flowering vines.

It also was great to have the creature comforts like coffee, shampoo, kitchen wraps and condiments there for us on arrival.

I have to tell you that this is the most magical place I have ever stayed.

Better than 5 stars

  • 5 of 5

Seascapes at Cliffdwellers exceeded our expectations in so many ways. We've stayed in top hotels and rented many great houses, but none have come even close to Seascapes -- the quality of construction, maintenance, furnishings and appointments were superb. For two families traveling with teenagers, the layout of this fabulous home is perfect, with several distinct areas, all with fine appointments and spectacular views. The pool was a favorite spot to look down the pristine shoreline and the upper deck provided a serene spot to view sunrises over Mount Nevis to our East, sunsets by Saint Kitts to our West and shooting stars at night.

Suzanne Gordon and her team took great care of us from before we arrived through our departure from Oualie Beach. They stocked our refrigerator and connected us with wonderful activities and restaurants -- attentive concierge service from people who really wanted our visit to be memorable. As a neat bonus, the little gift shop on the property was the best on the island.

Seascapes at Cliffdwellers has set a new bar that will be very tough for other properties to beat. We look forward to returning!

Amazing house provided for a wonderful vacation

  • 5 of 5

The house is truly amazing, beautiful and very nicely laid out. All the four bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms have private entrances directly from either the porch area surrounding the pool or the up-stairs veranda, which also sweeps around the kitchen/living room area. The house is perfect for an extended family or a group of friends. The way the house is situated on a cliff, it provides for perfect privacy.

The kitchen and living room area is very nice. The kitchen is high end, well equipped with anything anyone could need, such as dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, icemaker, microwave etc. The house is very well-maintained and immaculate clean.

We spent most of our time outside, there are so many different coaches and sun beds, all equally comfortable, to sit or lay down on the verandas and the porch by the pool to either enjoy the sun or hide in the shade when needed. We spent a lot of our time in the amazing pool. There is a roof terrace providing an almost 360 degree view of the sea and Mount Nevis behind the house. We really enjoyed spending time there watching the boat traffic going by, the pelicans diving for food and the amazing view of the Caribbean Sea. The roof terrace is also the perfect spot to watch the amazing sunsets and star gazing at night.

The bedrooms are equipped with air-conditioning, which we really appreciated since we were there in the summer. Since the house is located on a cliff there is always a breeze, which comfortably sweeps through the kitchen/living room area when the doors are open.

The flora around the house is amazing, so many beautiful and colorful flowers provides for a spectacular view.

The owners were extremely helpful and very nice from our first contact. They provided us with a lot of information about Nevis before our arrival. They organized for the transport from the airport in Basseterre, St Kitts to Nevis, which all went extremely smooth, and they had organized a rental car (which is a must to get around on the island) to be waiting for us when we arrived to the to the island. During our stay they were extremely attentive to the few questions we had. There is an information package in the house about Nevis, things to do, where to eat etc, which is extremely useful.

Nevis is a wonderful island, very beautiful with its many beaches, Mont Nevis and lush rainforests. There are so many things to enjoy on Nevis, at the same Seascape is such a nice house we ended up just hanging out by the house a lot.

Fun, Fabulous Vacation

  • 5 of 5

I don't know where to start--where do you wake up to cool breezes and 80 degree weather everyday? My family, 13 year old girl and husband and another family, 13 year old girl and her parents stayed at this lovely home.

We thought we were going on a beach vacation, but, I would call it an island vacation. We spent time exploring the island--going for walks, hanging out on the beach, hiking the rain forest, enjoying the flora and fauna, having fabulous dinners out and some really great dinners in.

The people on the island are so friendly and courteous.

The home we stayed in was perfect for our group. We all had plenty of space and the accommodations were fantastic. Plenty of spaces for us to lounge, sun, play games and even do our P90x on the tv!

The accommodations were truly high end--lovely kitchen with granite counter tops, plenty of ice from the ice maker, coffee pot, dvd, an awesome iphone dock so we could listen to our music. We star gazed and watched the boats.

I love that we each had our own bedroom with bath. The swimming pool was large enough for the girls to play games in.

The beach is a walk and we usually just drove but, that was actually ok with us. Truly, once you get here and see this place, you will understand that the beach is just a part of your experience. Driving is on the left side of the road but, really not that big of a deal. The island is small and only at rush hour can it be hectic.

The only bad thing was re-entry to real life on Monday after such a great vacation it was hard! Next time I would stay 10 days.

Wonderful Nevis Retreat over the Caribbean

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to Nevis and our first time renting a vacation home. While I approached our trip with a degree of apprehension, all of that melted away when we arrived at this beautiful retreat with absolutely spectacular views! To put this into perspective, on our week long trip, I took 679 photographs - over half of them were of views from the villa or of the villa and surrounding flora itself. The couple that owns the property were fantastic and very welcoming when we arrived. They were quick to address any concerns and were very responsive through e-mail leading up to our trip. We felt like we made two new friends at the conclusion of our stay.

The property itself is absolutely first class. It was very well-maintained and clean which was important because we are very particular about cleanliness. The main kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and the silverware, plates, bowls, etc. were plentiful. There is also a dishwasher which was great since there were 6 of us. The pool, with its views, was great and a refreshing destination after our adventures.

There is a lot to do on the island of Nevis. We did a sailing/snorkeling trip, hiked Mt. Nevis, visited the Golden Rock Plantation, did several 7+ mile walks and runs around the island, and spent time on the several different beaches. This is also a safe island. On one of our walks, we became quite lost. We decided to try to walk through the villages which ultimately led us to walking through pastures with no trails. While I was initially concerned, the more people we came across, the more I realized that they were happy to see us and happy to provide directions back to our villa.

A couple of quick points. 1. I would recommend renting a car while there. Walking to restaurants, the plantations, even most of the beaches is not really practical, especially if you have children. 2. Regarding beaches, this villa is situated on a cliff; it is not on a beach. There are two beaches nearby, one rather rocky, the other is like a typical Florida east coast beach. Both are within walking distance, but not right out your door.

One of the guidelines in writing these reviews is to confirm if the photos accurately reflect the home's appearance. Well, I am not sure how they could. You simply have to be there and see it to appreciate the sweeping views and the beauty of the property.

I would recommend Nevis and this villa to anyone looking for a serene retreat, lots of space, and great views!!
