About Susannah Laskaris
My love and appreciation for nature came from growing up 'rural' - in VT, NH, and a 'dash' of suburban life in the Boston, MA. area.... which included spending summers with extended family in Westport, MA. This land has been in the family for over 100 years and we consider it a gift to preserve and manage it carefully so family, friends and guests can enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility today, as well as for generations to come. For over 25 years I've administered education and community gardening outreach programs at NYC Botanic Gardens and currently help create and maintain micro-farms and gardens for schools, residential and apartment properties and green corridors connecting neighborhoods. In my spare time I love to quilt.
Susannah Laskaris purchased this House in 2011
Why Susannah Laskaris chose Westport
The land has been in the family for 100+ years. The sun-filled house looks out onto a wrap around wild flower field, perennial gardens, ancient stone walls and a beautiful, old barn. Enjoy peace and quiet and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Westport and Westport Point is a secret get-away from the clamor of Cape Cod crowds and traffic. Here is where the natural beauty and integrity of woodland, open fields and stunning water ways have remained intact thanks to forward-thinking community who long advocated for a good balance of land use with land preservation.
What makes this House unique
20 minute walk to Historic Westport Point and Lee's Wharf. Easy 5 minute access by car/20 minute by bike, to Horseneck Beach (State, Town & Private access) and marshland walks; quiet and very relaxing; a place to build year-to-year memories, to connect with nature and to rejuvenate completely.

Wonderful rental in Westport, MA!
We rented this lovely home for two months and couldn't have been happier with our experience! The house itself is wonderfully spacious and well-designed. The setting is gorgeous, with lovely gardens and a patio out back. The location is excellent, very quiet and remote, but a short distance to the beach and town center. The owner was extremely helpful and gracious throughout our stay. We highly recommend this property to anyone who would like either a brief or extended stay in Westport!

Your home is located in an excellent and very peaceful area. We have enjoyed our stay so far and have been pleased with meeting neighbors and exploring the surrounding area. We feel remote and yet, close enough to civilization if we choose to go there. There are plenty of opportunities for walks, drives and kayaking. It is beautiful and peaceful.
Wonderful Quiet Retreat with all you need to experience stepping out of your busy life
My family "summered" on Westport Point for over 45 years til recently. We had the opportunity to stay in this sweet house which offers all the comforts of home and then some. There is a lovely, private garden out back to just "sit and read" and also welcomes the BBQ and Cocktail hour. It's airy and has an open floor plan in the kitchen and living area which lends itself well to those who love to cook and entertain. I can't think of anything that would take away from this lovely house. The beach, sailing, art gallerys, antiques, massage therapy, dining out, cycling, walkers and runners alike just to name a few activities, will enjoy the views and the quaint feel of the country. ***In terms of folks challenged with physical disabilities, the one challenge might be the few steps into the house and into the garden. Other than that, it's all one floor.
