In the afternoon quench your thirst with a refreshing beverage while you sit back and enjoy the salty sea breeze while listening to the soothing ocean waves. In the evening watch the shrimp boat lights dance across the water.
Natural light brightens the kitchen and living room through large floor to ceiling windows. In the afternoon take a break to enjoy a snack while lounging on the cushy leather recliners or couch, which doubles as a sofa sleeper. Open the sliding glass door leading out to the balcony to let in the salty sea breeze to enjoy indoors. When the sun goes down, watch a movie on the flat screen TV.
Enjoy the gorgeously, remodeled, fully stocked kitchen with crisp white cabinets and sparkling granite counter tops as you whip up your favorite meals. Dining table seats 5 guests comfortably, 3 additional seats at breakfast bar.
The spacious master bedroom has two comfortable queen size beds, to ensure a restful night of sleep. Has access to the private oceanfront balcony through sliding glass door. Offers ample storage for belongings in 6-drawer dressers and closet with upper storage. Additional amenities: ceiling fan and flat screen TV. Pamper yourself in the attached master bathroom, features a tub/shower combo with sliding glass doors, perfect for soaking in a hot bubble bath to relax your tired muscles from a fun filled day.
The guest bedroom offers two fancy queen size beds. The perfect room to unwind from a fun filled day while you devour a good book. Has a closet with upper shelf and 3-drawer dresser to store your belongings. The roomy, guest bathroom is located directly across the hallway, has a walk-in shower and plenty of storage for your toiletries.
The Bahia Mar Condominium Community offers a variety of amenities to enhance your relaxing getaway. Take a stroll around the beautiful 15-acre grounds adorned in exotic foliage to enhance your tropical escape. Play a thrilling game of tennis, two courts available, or take the kids to the grassy fenced in playground to unleash their pent-up energy. Afterwards take a dip in one of two spectacular refreshing swimming pools, one is beachfront. Attain a sun kissed glow while you relax on a comfortable wicker sofa on the beachfront sun deck or on a lounge chair around the sparkling swimming pools, while you listen to the ocean waves dancing back and forth along the shoreline. Missing the sand between your toes, enjoy private direct ocean access to the soft sandy beach and crystal-clear Gulf of Mexico. Seasonal beach rentals are available (chairs, umbrellas, watersports, etc.) In the evening grill a delicious main dish to enjoy with evening cocktails while sitting around the freestanding fire pits in the barbeque lounge area. If you decide to leave Bahia Mar Condominium Community for a bite to eat there are local favorites within walking distance: Causeway Café SPI, Clayton’s and Ted’s. A short walk up the Island experience close encounters with sea turtles at Sea Turtle Inc or observe a variety of bird species and alligators at South Padre Island’s World Birding Center. I travel quit a bit and attempt to be fair when I write reviews. There are things I both liked and disliked.. The complex itself is very nice. Beautiful landscaping, very nice pool. The common areas are clean and well maintained. The entire facility is fenced and gated, we felt safe there. The guards are nice and professional. The rental office forgot to give us our wristbands. That was annoying to have to drive back and get them. At that point we had already spent eight hours in the car. Back to the wristbands. My girlfriend and I went to SPI for a romantic get away. Those wristbands are really, really bothersome. Every time we touched each other, hugged or whatever, the wristbands were right in the way. What's wrong with clip on badges or making them with Velcro straps or something?
The condo itself, we weren't really pleased with. My first and biggest complaint is that there is a rusty pipeline and bulldozer on the beach directly behind It. This was NOT disclosed and I'm irritated about it. I realize that construction, dredging and so forth are necessary to have great beaches, but not telling people about this "eyesore" is inexcusable. We like to sit on the balcony and enjoy the water-not a rusty pipeline and construction equipment.
The advertisement said "plush" towels. Not quit. They are as plush as an old dishrag. There are tiny gnat like bugs all over the inside of the condo.This IS the coast though and bugs are part of it. If I find out in the days to come, that they are something other than gnats, I will be very unhappy. The condo was pretty clean, stocked with all necessary dishes and utensils, it wasn't BAD. It was just not well maintained. The front door is hard to lock and unlock. My girlfriend couldn't open it at all. The water pressure in the showers, both of them, is awful. A couple of the electrical outlets are worn out and plugs just fall out of them. The TV, cable box and router all use the same outlet and the way the wires are routed is shoddy.
I'm sure my review sounds harsh, it's not meant to. I meant for it to sound average and it WAS average, or maybe a bit below average. On the other hand. The price wasn't terrible, but it wasn't all that great either. If I had it to do over again. I'd spend a little more and choose something nicer.
Check in upon arrival at Padre Island Rentals, 3100 Padre Blvd. at the corner of Padre Blvd. and Kingfish, 1 3/4 miles north of the bridge on the right side of the road one block north of the Blue Marlin Supermarket. After checking in and receiving your parking permit make a right onto Padre Blvd. The Bahia Mar Resort, 6300 Padre Blvd (on the right hand side of Padre Blvd.), is less than 2 miles from our Office. Unit #155 is located on the north side of the Bahia Mar Resort. Turn into the north entrance and drive passed the hotel tower towards the beach. The condominium buildings are numbered. #155 is in building 1 on the second floor. Maximum occupancy limits are strictly enforced. 2 bedroom maximum including children is 8 3 bedroom maximum including children is 10 Occupancy limits are controlled by the use of wristbands. When you check in at Padre Island Rentals you must put your wristband on at that time. Bahia Mar security guards will only allow persons wearing the bands to enter the property. If you have friends or family visiting you during your stay you will need to make arrangements to meet them somewhere else, they will not be allowed onto the Bahia Mar Grounds. Each rental at the Bahia Mar will receive up to 2 parking permits. Any additional vehicles will need to park off property.
