The condo itself is fine - 3 bedrooms, two fairly small, modest living room and kitchen. When we arrived two of the bathrooms had broken toilet paper holders, but they were fixed when I reported them. Location is essentially on the corner of Padre Blvd., and we are used to be on or nearer to the beach. If busier (we were there after Labor Day), this probably would be a bigger problem.
ONE IMPORTANT NOTE: the rates advertised on the ad do NOT include fees imposed by the leasing agent. Thus, overall cost was higher than what I expected.
Bottom line: we won't be staying there again.
Check in upon arrival at Padre Island Rentals, 3100 Padre Blvd. corner of
Padre Blvd. and Kingfish, 1 3/4 miles north of the bridge on the right side
of the road, one block north of the Blue Marlin Supermarket.
After picking up your keys, turn right on Padre Blvd. Drive ten blocks north to where Padre Blvd intersects with Gardenia Street.
Turn right on to East Gardenia. Cara Del Sol will be the first property on your right hand side.
There will be two parking areas, one east (to your left as you see it from the street) and one west. Park in the East side parking area. Go up the east side stairs. The entry door to Cara Del Sol #12 will be upstairs door to the right.
