OK facility, location not so good

The condo itself is fine - 3 bedrooms, two fairly small, modest living room and kitchen. When we arrived two of the bathrooms had broken toilet paper holders, but they were fixed when I reported them. Location is essentially on the corner of Padre Blvd., and we are used to be on or nearer to the beach. If busier (we were there after Labor Day), this probably would be a bigger problem.

ONE IMPORTANT NOTE: the rates advertised on the ad do NOT include fees imposed by the leasing agent. Thus, overall cost was higher than what I expected.

Bottom line: we won't be staying there again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review, I would like to address the issue you have mentioned concerning our rates. As you and I discussed yesterday, the rates where fully disclosed before you booked and the price quote that was given to you was exactly what was charged and there were no hidden or undisclosed fees. The fees you may be referring to are taxes that you feel you should not have to pay even though they were listed on the quote before you booked, fully advertised, not imposed by us and not hidden. I have never run into an issue like this with any other guests concerning our rates, Our phone number is listed here and answered 24 hours a day. If you or anyone have any questions I will be happy to assist you. Also, I am glad to hear about what a wonderful time you had on your stay at the condo. We had such great weather and the beach was so nice. I do hope next time you travel you still call on us, we would be happy to assist you on your next trip to South Padre Island. Check in upon arrival at Padre Island Rentals, 3100 Padre Blvd. corner of

Padre Blvd. and Kingfish, 1 3/4 miles north of the bridge on the right side

of the road, one block north of the Blue Marlin Supermarket.

After picking up your keys, turn right on Padre Blvd. Drive ten blocks north to where Padre Blvd intersects with Gardenia Street.

Turn right on to East Gardenia. Cara Del Sol will be the first property on your right hand side.

There will be two parking areas, one east (to your left as you see it from the street) and one west. Park in the East side parking area. Go up the east side stairs. The entry door to Cara Del Sol #12 will be upstairs door to the right.
