About the property

Beautiful adobe home with gardens and views that sleeps 6

This quintessential double-walled adobe home is located at the end of a secluded dead-end street. The house has 3 large bedrooms each with its own bathroom and fireplace. The outdoor space has beautiful gardens and views to the mountains. Gaze at the stars while sitting outside in the gardens and you'll know why we named the home Casa Nova. This is a real oasis located about 1/2 way between the Plaza and Museum Hill on the historic east side. It's only a 10 to 15 minute walk to lower Canyon Road where the majority of Santa Fe's many art galleries are located.

This is a unique and beautiful home with historic significance. It is tastefully decorated and has an open feel with the touches that are typical of older adobe homes like plaster walls, nichos, wooden-beamed ceilings and a kiva fireplace in every room. The main dining room table seats 8 people comfortably and there are additional outdoor dining areas on the portal and in the garden.

You will have a feeling of old Santa Fe, but the home has all the modern conveniences as the result of an extensive remodel in 2011. The beds and linens are top quality and new. All of the appliances are new and the home has all the amenities like wireless internet and premium cable TV. The home decor is a blend of our Southwest roots (I'm from California and Jane is from south Texas) and our adopted Thai homeland where I work as a geologist. Jane is an artist and most of the artwork on the walls are naturally her own. The home is comfortable in all seasons with radiant heating and evaporative cooling (for a touch of humidity).

This house is a unique property in the heart of Santa Fe's Historic Eastside. We are proud to share this home and know you'll like it as much as we do.

Please see HomeAway listing #910740 for details and photos if you want to include the optional 2 bedroom Casita (sleeps 4).

Fantastic adobe!

  • 5 of 5

Casa Nova is a beautiful adobe home and had everything we needed for our stay! Views yet close to the plaza, kivas, full kitchen, wifi, privacy, beautiful gardens, and attentive owners!

Our family of 6 stayed during Christmas and the house just made our stay in Santa Fe feel like home for the holidays!

Perfect house in Santa Fe

  • 5 of 5

Case Nova is ideally situated with an easy walk to town, combined with privacy from being surrounded by undeveloped land. The interior is tastefully decorated, the kitchen well equipped, and the outside spaces most welcoming. It was a total treat for our family to be there and we thank the owners for sharing!

lovely home full of charm and character and great location!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this home! It is full of charm, character, and a marvelous location. Secluded but close to town. Great outdoors spots for conversations with friends and family. The owners were kind enough to write us beforehand and the managing agent was terrific, allowing us to cheek con early and check out late.

beautiful house and gorgeous gardens, all done in Santa Fe style and tradition

  • 5 of 5

EIght college friends and sorority sisters from back in the 1960's (read: 8 old ladies) spent five days at Casa Nova. It was absolutely perfect. The home is comfortable, beautifully appointed and large enough that we all had our own space. There was only one downside ... No one wanted to go home.

Spectacular property in the heart of Santa Fe

  • 5 of 5

Went with a group of 9 women so we rented the main house and casita for 5 days to explore and experience the Santa Fe area. Flying in from all over the country and meeting at the house, we all got there within minutes of each other at dusk. We entered the property using the detailed instructions and were blown away at how beautiful and well appointed it was! Amazingly decorated and exceeding our expectations I was congratulated for getting such an amazing dwelling. So close to the restaurants, galleries, plaza and spas but situated on a dead end street with vistas from the patio feeling private and secluded. Easy drive to all activities. There were even enough bathrobes for 10, hairdryers in each bathroom, luxurious linens. We ran out of time and didn't get to enjoy the house as much as we would have liked. The fire pit, and patio even had hidden art and the master suite had it's own private patio and study as well. Can't say enough about how perfect this property was. C

Owner's Response: Dear Colleen We are really please to hear that you liked our house and that you and your friends enjoyed your time in Santa Fe. You captured our own sentiments about the house and one day soon we look forward to making it our permanent home. Thanks so much for the great review! Roger and Jane

Beautiful house

Beautiful house and property. First class in every way. Close to town but gives the feeling of seclusion. Scott and Maika are the best property managers in Santa Fe.

Notes:
Wonderful outdoor space adjacent to undeveloped 7 acres in the heart of the Eastside Historic District. Recently remodeled with all new appliances, quality linens and beds. This is a beautiful house with stunning views and an open feel. No steps inside the house and mostly level grounds. Really spectacular location easily accessible to all of the main Santa Fe attractions like the Plaza, Canyon Road and the Museums. The main home (3 bdrm) can be rented separate from the Casita (2 bdrms -1 bath) or all together for larger groups. This is our dream home and we hope you'll agree.
