Guestbook comments from the manager

The metro is a great way to get around Paris (can be crowded). Buy the “Carnet” a book of ten tickets. It’s a deal, can be used anytime and can be transferred between individuals. Don’t buy the carte Orange-it ends Saturday no matter what day you buy it. And must be used only by the individual who purchased it and needs a photo which is another 5 euros. There are some really good restaurants around the “Place des Vosges”. It is also a very beautiful square with art galleries. Our favorite was “Ma Bourgogne” restaurant. If you are looking for a day trip outside Paris, the Loire Valley is full of castles and mansions. And great wine. Especially sauvignon blanc. Our favorite town was Amboise. The castle is so impressive and the town is beautiful. If you are going to the museums spend the first day going around the ones you would like to visit and buy your tickets for the day you plan to go. Saves you a lot of time so you don’t stand in lines which could take hours. There is a different line to buy advance tickets. A real experience was the Orangerie museum. Monet’s water lilies were created for this space. Amazing. We love the apartment and love Paris and it’s Lovely people. Marty and Ralph.

Awesome accommodations!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was amazing! My wife and I along with our 2 month old stayed at this apartment just before Christmas. The apartment was very clean and well set up. We were able to buy coffee and food at nearby markets to prepare for those early mornings with our baby. The gentleman who settled us was very helpful and accommodating. The day we were leaving my wife locked her coat and scarf in the apartment we had no way to get it since we were on our way to the airport. I contacted the person that settled us and he zipped over and opened the apartment for us got the coat and scarf and we made our flight! The district is great. The apartment is close to all the shops and restaurants and close to the River and sights!

Thank you for a wonderful experience in Paris!

quaint and comfortable, wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 11 nights at this apartment and loved the locale, fantastic restaurants, shopping and bars just steps away. The apartment although compact has every amenity necessary and great design, we would love to stay again and highly recommend it.

Comfortable, great location and exactly what we were looking for!

  • 4 of 5

This flat was exactly as described in the listing. We loved the location and the views from the balcony. The flat was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The shower was nice and the bathroom reasonably sized. The flat was quiet and we felt safe in the neighborhood. We enjoyed a delicious meal across the street at Comptoir Gourmet.

We did not meet Julian, but dealt with his agent, Olivier. We did have a difficult time getting in touch with Julian or Olivier the day of arrival, but eventually just went to the flat and found Olivier. He had just begun cleaning and we were asked to leave for an hour and a half. We were exhausted and did not really want to leave, but felt like we had to. This situation was partially our fault because we got in early. We also had a hard time communicating with Olivier as he spoke very little English.

A couple things about the flat: as others have mentioned there are a lot of winding stairs that are not very well lit, the washer/dryer seemed somewhat complicated to use and we could not get our clothes all the way dry (possibly user error) and we could only get one channel to work on the tv. These were minor issues and did not detract from the great qualities of the flat.

We requested a late checkout and Julian was gracious to agree to it. Overall, if we needed to stay in Le Marais again we would consider this flat, but might choose one with less stairs!

Clean, comfortable space with an amazing view!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this property on a recent vacation and had a perfect stay! The apartment was clean and comfortable. We had zero problems checking in and the property manager was easily accessible the entire time we were there. The best part about this apartment is the beautiful view off the terrace! Also, the A/C unit was a nice luxury for us who are used to having air conditioning during the summer months. Note: the apartment is at the top of the building so you have to haul your luggage up 5 flights of stairs. But, it was worth it for the view! And at the end of the day, we were able to burn off some extra calories ;)

Highly recommend this apartment! Great location, safe neighborhood, well-kept space, and easy communication with property managers!

Comfortable but noisy.

  • 4 of 5

Although we enjoyed our time at the apartment, there were a few things which made our stay less than a five star experience .

The apartment was very noisy, day time, evening and in the very early morning. Apparently it is on the route from the late night bars. Every night we were awakened by parties passing underneath the Windows. Usually in Europe if you close the windows it is quiet, even on the busiest streets. This was not the case here.

The bed was quite comfortable, but someone needs to clean under the bed! It was very dirty.

If you wanted to cook there would be challenges . We didn't , after all you're in Paris.

Very well located with short walks to the main sights along the Seine or to a Metro station made exploring easy. There are an abundance of restaurants within walking distance. Across the street was the best espresso we had in France.

Five flights of stairs would be a challenge for some, especially with luggage larger than carry on size.

Washing/drying clothes is always a challenge in Europe so wash overnight and dry the next day. Do not assume your clothes will be dry at the end of a three hour cycle; ours weren't!

The apartment was lighter then the photos which was nice. Abundance of windows in the bedroom was lovely, but led to the excessive noise.

Renting and checking in was smooth and easy .

An Absolutely Beautiful Apartment

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from our wonderful stay at this gorgeous apartment! It was everything and more than we dreamed. Exactly as described, modern yet the feel of old Paris. A vibrant area of locals and tourists, cafes, shopping, walkable to everything! The wrap around balcony was such a bonus, to be able to people watch from above the small quaint streets. Julien the owner was helpful, kind and polite. We highly recommend this unit to anyone. There are a lot of steps up to it, as it's on the fifth floor. But it's well worth it once you step in to this magical space. Thank you, thank you!!!
