Beautiful & Spacious Townhouse, 2 bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleep 4)

Ours is a luxury townhouse-stye condo in a gated, very quiet and peaceful development - Kulalani. Our property is located a short walk (approximately 2 minutes) to the development's private recreation area that is one of the finest in the area featuring a large lagoon pool (with keiki pool), a lap pool, two hot tubs, a well-equipped and air conditioned exercise facility and an outdoor pavilion for entertainment.

We are close to two championship golf courses, fantastic beaches are a short drive away, and we have access to very nice restaurants. A very well-stocked grocery store a short walk or ride away. Our property has a large covered lanai on main floor with a gas BBQ with an outside kitchen. A covered lanai is also located on second floor off the master bedroom suite. Both lanai's have patio furniture, are in shade most of the day and are protected from the wind.

Access to Mauna Lani Beach Club is included with rental. We have provided a variety of adult and children's beach toys, including boogy boards, chairs and umbrellas. Surf boards and paddle boards can be rented at the beach club.

Book with confidence! It's worth every penny to stay at this lovely town home!

This was our first trip to the big island and first time staying at this beautiful villa. It was a last minute booking and the owners were very responsive. They answered all of our questions in a timely manner. The property is very clean, spacious and the kitchen has everything we need. We can cook whatever we like to eat everyday instead of eating out all the time. So much better and less expensive than staying at one small bedroom in a hotel. Master suite has a huge Cal-king bed and the beds are very comfortable. The townhouse is beautifully decorated and love the artworks. It has a central A/C unit that keeps the entire house nice and cool. Other than a few coffee stains on the carpet, it looks very clean and well taken care of. A few min walk to the pool and fitness center. Pool never crowded. Walking distance to restaurants, grocery store and shops. It's such a lovely place to stay! We will recommend this wonderful town home to anyone.

Kulalani at Mauna Lani

This VRBO is the loveliest condo we have yet to experience. All the modern amenities are present, as well as easy access to several beautiful beaches, swimming pools, a small but terrific work-out facility....and lovely grounds. The unit is beautifully appointed, but also warm and comfortable. It really felt like “home” to us. Close to many great choices for all kinds of food...as well as all the activities of the Big Island, which include varieties of hiking, swimming, tropical forests, rolling pasture lands, grass prairies, and 5 volcanoes. I really can’t say enough...

Not the best bang for your buck in my opinion.

We have rented a few condos in the area. Your vacation will always be wonderful with any condo in the area, because of the wonderful location, and beach club, and natural beauty of the area.

In my opinion, this condo is not the best bang for your buck. The big thing is the living room and dining room furniture is really uncomfortable, and does not lend itself to morning or evening conversation! I don’t care who designed it! If the outside table was not available, it would be pretty tough to sit and talk, or play games for any length of time.

The condo is not perfect for couples as, the second bedroom ‘s bed does not have a box spring and is very uncomfortable.

The condo is not real clean. It certainly could use improvement in that area. The rug is filthy!

We had an issue with the air conditioner the first couple of days that would have been noticed had they had someone check the condo before we checked in. No airconditioner, and no outside light left on.

I informed the owners of some issues that needed attention upon our departure. There was no acknowledgement of my letter. I would have expected more., which is why I decided to write this review.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. However, to correct the record, we did in-fact respond to each and every message from you, hence, we are not sure which email you reference. We have 100% response rate and usually reply email within an hour. Further, as mentioned in our email exchanges with you, there was no flaw with the air conditioner as was by the technician who checked on it after you informed us; however, the technician told us that a breaker had tripped due to a power surge occurred somewhere in the neighborhood. Further, again for the record, the AC unit is serviced quarterly and the unit’s carpets are deep cleaned twice a year or more. That said, we had guests before your arrival and before we know of the event, that apparently spilled coffee on the carpet. We regret that and it has since been addressed. The carpet will be replaced soon with tile. As for the guest bedroom’s bed, yours is the first comment we have had regarding it. We will investigate it and whether to replace it. Otherwise, we thought that you had a pleasant stay with us as you mentioned in our guest note book.

The property was everything we were seeking for a relaxing vacation. The pictures did not deceive.

Our stay at Mauna Lani was excellent. The condo was just right and clean as a whistle. The amenities at the resort were outstanding as well. The private beach access was great. The pool area was as good as it gets too. Very happy with everything about it. If we ever get back to the Big Island, we would not hesitate renting this condo again.

As for the owners, John and Htet Htet Pierce, I cannot thank them enough for being so accommodating to us in our situation on getaway day. The checkout time is 10am and our flight did not leave until 8pm that night. After an email and text we were able to negotiate a later checkout at 5pm. Thankfully they did not have renters coming in that day. It made a world of difference to us to be able to stay later.

So, if you are looking for an excellent place to stay with owners that are responsive and willing to work with you, this is definitely the place.
