Our condo is very close to the beach, park, playground and eating spots..

Nestled along the west Maui coast, this centrally located two bedroom one bath condo at the 'Honokowai Palms' is just 300+ yards north of the Kaanapali Beach Club Hotel and the Aston Kaanapali Shores Hotel, 35 yards to the Beach Park, and 70 yards to the Pacific ocean. Sleeps 4 persons including children..

The condo is on the first floor in a traditional Hawaiian setting of lush gardens with a partial view of ocean and park. Reserved parking space is right outside the condo. No stairs or long walks with luggage.

Honokowai Beach Park is right across the beach road where you can view exquisite sunsets (and whales from November to May), barbecue, dine, play baseball or volleyball, swim, or just meet people there. It is the best beach in Maui for young children because of the protection provided by the reefs.

Condo is 5 miles north of Lahaina (old whaling town), two miles north of Kaanapali center, one mile south of Kahana, and four miles south of Napili and Kapalua. Great centralized location with easy access to North Kaanapali Beach Trail just 330 yards south.

Condo is fully furnished with large refrigerator, stove, microwave, cable TV, DVD, phone, Internet Access via DSL via Hawaiian Tel and Time Warner the in condo, small appliances, beach supplies, etc. Newly remodeled pool, barbecue and picnic area, lush gardens in front and back of our condo.

The kitchen is full size with a walk-in pantry.

An excellent Farmers Market is open MWF from 7 to 11AM just 50 yards from our front door! Free samples of local fruits, jams, dips, breads, etc. A must see and a great experience. New Farmers Market (health food) Deli and BadAss Cafe (coffee shop) is also 50 yards away. Large 'Times' supermarket is 330 yards south at the Honokowai Market Center which has a number of restaurants and take outs. .

The master bedroom is decorated with Hawaiian paintings, the living room with Hawaiian scenes, the dining room with Hawaiian Fish, and the second bedroom with dolphins. Master bedroom has a queen size bed and second bedroom has twin beds with full size twin mattresses. Both bedrooms have mirrored sliding closet doors and upgraded with new 5 drawer bureaus.

The floors are a dark brown plank except for the bedrooms which are carpeted.

The condo is cooled by the trade winds, ocean breezes, and ceiling fans in each of the rooms. As some visitors say it is the healthiest they have ever felt because of the fresh cool breezes from the mountains and the ocean. The unit is cool because of where we are in the condo complex (bottom floor and north end) and the micro climate we get from being next to the mountains and near the ocean.

Our Maui vacation home with all its amenities can be your home while in Maui.

To help you save money by not having the $80 maid fee for limited cleaning at end of stay and the Hawaii State Tax (13.42% on rent) compounding with HA commissions, we have those amounts paid directly to the owner 30 days or more before occupancy. At that time we provide the lock box code for the front door.

The Farmers Market & its Deli just 60 yards from our condo as well as a coffee shop, takeouts, and other retail shops. Two very popular takeouts (Okazawa and Fish Sandwich) just a 100 yards south. Beach, Park, and Playground just across the beach road in front of the condo complex. Walking distance to Kaanapali beach trail and all its hotels.

Great central location for families with children

The owner Kevin is very knowledgeable about the area and has great suggestions for activities, dining and sightseeing for all age groups and abilities. He checked in with us a few times during our stay to make sure everything was going well.

The location was perfect, about a 5 minute drive from Kaanapali Beach (Whalers Village, Kaanapali Beach Hotel and other resorts on the beach) and 7-8 minute drive to Lahaina and Napili. The area was nice and quiet and my 5yr old loved the playground across the street. (I felt very safe in the neighborhood as a single parent and walked a lot of places... Even left our rental car unlocked the whole time without incident!) The public beach access across the street was calm and protected by rocks from the waves and water about knee deep.The sandy beach was clean (and rarely crowded) and the park bbqs used by locals in the evenings. Everyone was friendly and we saw amazing sunsets from the beach.

The condo was on the ground floor and the kitchen recently remodeled and new beds in the rooms. The condo didn't get too much direct sun which helped keep it cool. There are fans in every room and got good breezes off the ocean but no air conditioning (it didn't bother us, but I like warm weather). I wished there was a little more water pressure but it's an older building (1960s?) so probably normal. There was a young girl (3?)in the condo above us who had a couple of tantrums I could hear but not during quiet hours and I'm sure she will grow out of it. The Wi-Fi had 3 different ways to connect and took me a bit to figure out but I'm not tech savvy. With the two of us online and the tv on we occasionally saw slowing with the speeds in the evenings but not unbearable. Lots of beach items provided- mats, chairs, boogie boards and sand buckets.Well stocked kitchen with pans pots etc and nice system of dating unused condiments for the next guests (sharpies above the coffee maker) so happy to find coffee and creamer in the AM when we got in past midnight!! Grocery store was a 5 minute walk away and small but entertaining farmers market next door with samples :)

Condo was clean and saw occasional sugar ants but as long as the water was wiped up and food cleaned up they weren't an issue.

Overall a great location for my 5yr old and I to relax and spend time together and we can't wait to come back!

Located just north of Kaanapali in a village setting called Honokowai. The Honokowai Farmers Market is 60 yards away and is very popular as is their Deli store.

We have the Beach Park in front with Swings, Playground, Barbecues, Tables & Benches, shade at the beach, and best beach in Maui for young children. We have seen many Turtles, Monk Seals, Whales, Dolphins at the beach and people catching large fish at the beach there.
