This little cottage is part of a small summer colony of private homes on a public way and is located on the extreme tip of a peninsula in historic Fairhaven Massachusetts , known as "Wilbur Point" . It's a small quiet OCEANFRONT cottage located directly on the shore of Buzzards Bay and this location is one of the very few where you can travel to the tip of a peninsula without trespassing over private property to get there. This little cottage can make you feel like your on a boat with great views of the ocean waters on Buzzard's Bay while listening to the gentle sound of wind waves and sea gulls to keep you relaxed. Looking out over the water you can also enjoy uninterrupted views of commercial fishing or pleasure boats ,cruise ships tankers and tugs making their way to or from the Cape Cod Canal or other destinations across the bay including Cuttyhunk or Martha's Vineyard. Outside on the wrap-around deck provides even more entertainment with more great water views from almost every angle .... In fact if you can possibly get annoyed by constantly seeing and hearing the ocean then you've picked the wrong place. And weather permitting you can also start and end each day enjoying nearly uninterrupted sunrise and sunsets. When it gets chilly the central heat warms you up or natures' breeze cool you down . Full kitchen and small bath downstairs next to the living room surrounded with more widows for enjoying more ocean views. Upstairs will greet you again with even more great views in the cozy bed and bunk rooms along with a small half-bath. But a bit of caution going upstairs to the sleeping area because it requires using steep and narrow stairs which can be challenging as shown in the photo. Please keep this in mind if you have mobility, balance or stair climbing issues or concerns. If so, the downstairs living room has a sleeper sofa for 1 or 2 persons.
