Lakefront, Cayuga Lake Sunsets, Swimming and Fishing Off Dock

Bedrooms 1
Property type recreational vehicle
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

address is 1404 Honoco Rd Aurora 13026.NOTE map apps coming from the south direct you to enter Honoco Road's south entrance from King Ferry,...Not possible, it is closed off. YOU MUST ENTER Honoco Road from the north off of Lake Road. Permanently closed on the south end. It is a camper, very clean and well maintained. The private road goes through the property between the camper and the lake.

check out this you tube video, i...we want to be sure you know what the site looks like. ( I shot it with a Go Pro camera so with the wide lens of the camera the size may be misleading.)

Shaded lake front Camper/Trailer JAYCO WHITE HAWK Two miles down private Honoco Road near Franklin Point. Large private dock features a bench for viewing the breathtaking sunsets, watching the numerous waterfowl, or catching a few perch, bluegill or smallies for a tasty dinner. The night is dark with the night sky bursting with a zillion stars. Swimming in this rocky bottom clean lake is awesome. If you are familiar with the site as a previous guest, we removed the wooden deck and constructed a wide area paver patio. The unit has one private bedroom. Not suitable for children but perfect for just two adults. No pets. No visiting guests during the day unless discussed with us and no other overnight guests.

The Finger Lakes wineries are everywhere. Mackenzie- Childs outlet factory is minutes away, too.

(When and if time and weather permit, ask Jim about going sailing or fishing)

Water is pumped directly out of the lake and has not been tested for drinking. The lake is very clean. Two gallons of bottled water are provided for drinking.

The access is by a private on lane road, Honoco Rd access off of Lake Road only. The private access road runs in front of the camper between the yard and the dock.

Keywords: shaded lakefront setting, private dock, two miles down private Honoco Rd. close to Long Point State Park

About Jim Ambrose

Joanne and I love the lake. Our camp is next door and we will try to do whatever we can to make your visit on the lake a relaxing and enjoyable time. If you are thinking this might be what you are looking for, please call me to learn more and answer all of your questions. It is a camper, the setting is along a private road with other camps a few doors down.. This camp is 2 miles down a 10 MPH road that can be a bit muddy bumpy after a heavy rain.

Jim Ambrose purchased this recreational vehicle in 2015

Why Jim Ambrose chose Aurora

If you are a camper, why pull your own? Come use ours! if you never stayed in a camper, it is like a hotel room on wheels, except ours does not move. It is perfect for two people, and roomy enough to do what you want to do inside, including cooking,..but there is a propane grill outside with utensils.

What makes this recreational vehicle unique

peacefulness at night, starry sky, rolling waves, awesome view of thunderstorms coming in from the west, good fishing most of the year,( although late summer, once the water warms, fishing off the dock is slower)., , snorkeling,....just chilling on a floatee,...

lake bottom is hard shale and rocky, so you must have water shoes to walk in the water,....

Cozy, relaxing, and a million stars!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the cute and cozy camper in mid-September of 2017, and had a really great, very relaxing time. The place is super clean, the kitchen is stocked with cookware, plates, cups, utensils, coffee maker, plus a gas stove-top and oven, and a gas-fired grill on the patio. We spent some time kayaking on the lake and, at night, watched the stars from the dock and had a few campfires. The sunsets were different every night. Jim and Joanne are wonderful hosts, very helpful and friendly, and even helped return an item that we left behind. We have been thinking about buying a pull-behind camper and this was a great way to try out the living space. We've been raving about this place to many friends and family!

Quiet, secluded, peaceful, and a beautiful sunset.

  • 5 of 5

Jim and Joanne were the perfect hosts and very accommodating, very friendly and appreciate their hospitality. The camper is very clean and perfect for two people looking to spend a quiet week together. The fishing was outstanding, and the sunsets were beautiful. It was well worth the trip and we would recommend it to anyone else looking for a similar experience. Thank you very much Jim and Joanne, we hope to see you next year - Dave and Lorna.

Once again, we hated to leave! We've been here many times and it is the only VRBO place we return to year after year. Jim and Joanne give help when needed but privacy to enjoy this little gem on Cayuga! Thanks for another great stay!!!

Long Point State Park is just minutes from the entrance to Honoco Road. and has large structured play area for small children, beach area, and picnic areas on the waterfront.

Usually, our guests come to just chill and de-stress sitting out on their private dock with the expansive view of the lake, clouds, stars, perfect sunset view when no clouds and waterfowl floating and flying by. Not suitable for children, available for two adults only. No other visiting overnight guests please.
