Wish it was our house !!!!
We stay in a beautiful home Right on the water . It was decorated very nice and it was clean . There was a lot of natural light which made it very cheery . The outside of the property had well groomed plants and trees made it feel like a tropical island . There is a gorgeous pool that is all in surrounded by stone with a waterfall . The back of the house has a very nice patio and extends out to a dock where you can sit and enjoy a dolphin sighting and watch the water foul fish for food . Can’t wait to go back !!!
Would definitely stay again!
Great location ,quite and classy.
We had a great stay at Boca Ciega Cottage. There were only 2 of us so we had plenty of room and no problem sharing the 1 bathroom. Location was great! On the bay/waterway and short walk to the beach. Also close to grocery stores. The Madeira Beach area was nice and it was also a short drive up to Indian Rocks/Clearwater or down to Treasure Island. Place was well furnished and worked well for us. Couldn't use the pool as heat wasn't on when we were there in Feb but it looked very nice. Would stay here again.
This is a fantastic place to stay it has everything you could possibly need. It’s clean and has a fantastic view of the water. If you’re looking for the perfect place to enjoy a romantic or quiet getaway this is the perfect place.
well worth the money. we had a great time.only thing i thought was missing was an electrical outlet on the back porch with a small lamp so we could see each other after dark. i would not hesitate to stay there again.
Nicely updated in a unique setting
Overall, we were very pleased with the rental. It was situated on a quiet, residential street with driveway parking. The house itself was updated with modern appliances and beautiful furnishings. It was clean and comfortable.
The real highlight of the house was the dock out back which sat on the bay. It was very relaxing to sit out there at night with a glass of wine and watch the boats go by as the dock lights changed colors. My son also went fishing right off the back a couple of mornings.
There was a pool available for use at the house next door but we didn't take advantage of it. We live in Florida and have a pool at home so it wasn't a big draw for us. Plus we felt a little uncomfortable with the set-up even though we were allowed to use it.
Some of the other positives and negatives about the rental:
It was walking distance to the beach which was great because we didn't have to search for parking on the 4th of July. We saw a number of fireworks shows from our back dock which also saved parking hassles for us from parking hassles.
We loved that they provided nice big beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, and even a paddle ball set for the beach.
It was close to a lot of restaurants and not a bad drive to John's Pass. My son especially like the mini-donut place which we visited several times. Our other favorite restaurants were Crabby Bill's in Indian Rocks Beach and Frog's Pond in Treasure Island.
It was a little dark and light switches were not easily accessible. It could use some additional lighting, especially since the furnishings are dark (very nice Tommy Bahama style).
It seemed a little overcrowded with furniture. There were only 3 of us so it was fine, but any more than 4 and it would have been crowded. Yes, you could technically sleep 6, but I think that's a stretch with only one bathroom. I think it would be more comfortable without the 2nd couch so you could move around the table more easily.
I think the air conditioner is on its last leg. It was very noisy and didn't cool the master bedroom very well. We called about it when we first arrived and a grumpy service guy came to look and said there was nothing he could do. Luckily, there was a ceiling fan in the room to help cool it.
It would have been nice to have instructions about how to use the TV remotes. The service guy who came out had to call his boss to help us work the TV.
We had a wonderful week and I would definitely recommend this place to others - just not for a big group.
