Why Sasha Chavchavadze chose Cape Cod

This property has been in our family for 75 years since my grandparents, artists and writers, moved to Wellfleet in the 1930s. The house is filled with a sense of beauty and history. The house was built in 1800 by a Wellfleet sea captain who rowed his boat ashore to reach the house.

What makes this house unique

The quiet, soft breezes and intense light are remarkable. The evening light fills the house with an orange glow. The house is uniquely situated in the Fox Island Conservation Park. The area is teaming with birds and wildlife, perfect for nature lovers. Conservation trails can be reached within feet by walking out the front door.

Beautiful Home Nestled in Tranquil Pine Forest

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this lovely house with our two children in August. The owners were great and went out of their way to prepare for our visit.

We found the house impeccably clean, light and airy, with beautiful artwork adorning the walls. It is a family home and is decorated with care and a wonderful attention to detail. The renovated kitchen wing is beautiful and the French doors give the space a really nice indoor/outdoor feel. The house is situated in a incredible pine forest and it was spectacular to wake up in the morning and look out on the trees. Our children were particularly fond of the hammock out back and we loved having our morning coffee outdoors, watching them play. We were able to take walks on the conservation trails surrounding the house; the area was magical.

The house is a five minute drive to Wellfleet Center, and it is easy to drive to local ponds and beaches. The owners recommended great restaurants and markets and we found it easy and fun to explore the area.

We all enjoyed a wonderful and restorative stay at this home and would highly to recommend it, especially for those looking to stay in a beautiful, natural and peaceful setting.
