We wanted a cabin in a private area, with beautiful views, and near the national park.
We stayed with our 4 kids and golden retriever. The house is well appointed, with plenty of room for both adults and children. The basement was a haven for the kids. The open layout of the kitchen and living room (where the fireplace is located) made for engaging evenings playing cards and board games. A real retreat.
We loved this home. It is beautiful inside and out. Very warm and cozy inside. Five of us, and two pups went for a few days as a birthday celebration and could not possibly have found a better home to share. Nikki was terrific, answered all our questions even though she and family were traveling. We feel we found a real treasure and hope to share their home next year for our second annual birthday celebration. Thank you Nikki.
I knew we had rented a winner when the kids couldn't stop talking about how neat the 'cabin' was. Our party of 7 adults and 4 children had a fabulous time in this beautiful location--great view and so close to the west gate of RMNP. We watched deer and foxes from the cabin as well as hummingbirds (and had fun finding all the indoor stuffed animals also). Lots of room for the kids to play and the adults to find different conversation places. The kitchen was well stocked for most any kind of food preparation. S'mores were enjoyed at the fire pit and the adults had fun teaching the youngsters the finer art of chopping wood and fire building.
i highly recommend this lovely location--too beautiful and well-furnished to be call a cabin.
Nikki was great to work with, answering my many questions and being so kind.
We have used VRBO many times and always had very satisfactory experiences. This lovely cabin, in the most beautiful setting, was by far the best. The layout was perfect for my husband and I and our family of 10. One family took the lower level, the other the upper - all very comfortable and we had the beautiful main floor master. The view from the kitchen window and back porch was breath taking. Our memories include many games around the long kitchen table (converted work bench), campfires and looking at the stars at night - just a wonderful time in a gorgeous setting. Even the neighbors (beavers) next door were fun to watch from the front porch.
Our family, consisting of 10 adults and 1 child, had a great time in this beautiful cabin at Grand Lake, Co. The cabin was beautifully furnished and had plenty of room for everyone. We appreciated the extras in the cabin such as the wide assortment of games and videos and the toys located in the loft. The kitchen was fully equipped for any type of meal. We loved the fire pit out back and the peaceful porches to sit and relax. During our stay, a fox wandered across the property several times and a deer rested in the side yard. There were also horses & cattle that came to the fence to check us out from the pasture next door. Rocky Mountain National Park was just 15 minutes away with plenty hiking trails and beautiful scenery. We would definitely recommend this property for a great vacation getaway.
We had a total of 4 families staying together at the home. It was spacious enough that everyone had private space if needed with the common spaces being large enough for the 11 of us to visit and play games as well. The amenities were great. We used the fire ring several evenings and the hot tub nightly. The proximity to Grand Lake and RMNP was perfect.
Thanks,
D.G.
