Friends and Family Red Rocks getaway weekend

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of friends and family out for a weekend of Red Rocks shows and enjoy some great eats and breweries. The location suited us just right, Great accommodations with plenty of room. Nice back yard area with plenty of room to stretch out, throw horse shoes, and grill burgers. The location worked great for both taking UBER's around town to shops, restaurants, and breweries, and Shuttle pick up and travel to Red Rocks was also nice and easy and only about 25 minutes. Thanks for the weekend. The owner is very nice, friendly, and accommodating.

Dirty house, bad area and unresponsive host.

  • 1 of 5

Unfortunately this listing was misleading in its photos and description, and the neighborhood was very run down. I would not recommend this property to anyone else.

All of the rugs, carpets and stairwells were soiled and stained. A bucket full of used cigarettes was on the table. The basement has a nice setup with 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom, but the entire basement floor smelled of must and mildew and when we requested a dehumidifier from the owner (lives right behind the house), he promised one yet never brought it.

There really weren't any dishes available for meals, the basement shower had an open/exposed pipe that gushed water when turning the shower on, and several of the blinds were broken so they wouldn't open properly.

There was also a pickup truck with a large trailer left in the driveway that made it difficult for more than 1 vehicle to park. Our request for it to be moved was promptly denied.

Comfy house for a group of people.

  • 5 of 5

We were here for a wedding and it was so much better that having 4 hotel rooms, very comfy house with plenty of places to sleep, "eat in " and hang out. I would rent this again. Easy access to everywhere we had to be and we used Uber when we're were down town Denver to safely get around. That's a fabulous service. Thanks Jonathan.

Quaint tudor in SouthWest Denver

  • 4 of 5

Jon was very responsive with any of our needs. His house was the perfect lodging for my family and made the weekend all the better. We were able to enjoy Denver and then come back to the house and make dinner which was very helpful with little ones. We will definitely rent the house in the near future.

Lack of Communication

  • 1 of 5

This really stinks I have to do this because we liked our stay here. We worked with Jon via emails before our trip. He answered all the questions we had. We arrived and the house was great. The complaints about the neighborhood IMO are wrong. Yes its in an older area but we never felt unsafe ever. The layout is a bit different as there was two rooms on the main floor then there is a larger bedroom down stairs with a bathroom connected. The two rooms on the main floor share a bathroom. There is a big mutli purpose room down stairs also with a big couch and fireplace. The TV in there was not hooked up but the one in the main living room was and worked great. Again I hate giving this a 1 star but after our stay I sent an email to Jon asking about the status of our deposit. He never got back to me. Not an email to say hey you did this or didn't do this so keeping the deposit. Just no communication at all. We made sure everything was picked up and all the trash was thrown away outside. We took pictures of everything as I have on every trip we have ever taken for any owner who tries to keep a deposit. Again we got no email stating anything. So to rate the house I would give it a 4. To rate the owner pre visit I would give him a 5. Post visit gets the 1 star which IMO really sucks.
