About Marsha

My name is Marsha, I grew up in Virigina and now live in Florida. Hopefully someday I can retire and stay in Blairsville. I really enjoy helping people have a nice vacation and wonderful memories with their families.

Marsha purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Marsha chose Blairsville

I chose the Blairsville area to buy this property after looking at many areas in the mountains . I felt like this was the best area because of the incredibly nice people and also the area is easily accessible and near many sightseeing areas but not in the middle of a congested area. To me this is the perfect location.

What makes this cabin unique

I feel like the main benefits of staying in our cabin are the location and how easily accessible the property is. The property is on ac acre in a wonderful quiet and secluded subdivision but near many attractions and very easily accessible.

Wonderful Time

  • 5 of 5

My brother and I had a wonderful time at the cabin. The beds were comfortable, and the cabin was cozy. We purchased some DVDs and played them on the entertainment system. Also, we prepared meals in the fully equipped kitchen, saving us money. It was the ideal cabin for our fishing trip.

Overall, it was a nice quite retreat.

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay, it was adequate for a couple of nights. Loved the fire pit, not impressed with the matresses. Found it odd that we were in a duplex type situation in the middle of a subdivision, as that was never mentioned. Ended up being quite so that was nice. Pictures on website include balconies that there is no access to, which is deceiving. Full disclosure is lacking, but the cabin overall is nice and enjoyable.

Feels like home!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, toddler, and I fled FL before Irma and found this quaint and well kept cottage with many amenities. Marsha is a delightful landlady and was very helpful during our stay. The property is just a scenic mountain drive away from many attractions. We would love to plan a trip back!

Outdoor Pictures Inaccurate

  • 2 of 5

The outdoor pictures of this property reflect a much larger cabin than you will actually have access to. We arrived to find that this cabin, while a freestanding house, is divided into two units. You will only have access to one unit. I am unsure if the other unit is rented or not.

Additionally, all but one of the outdoor pictures of this cabin primarily depict the portion of the cabin that is not being rented in this listing. It is further obvious from reading some of the other reviews that the "other" half of the cabin (or perhaps the whole thing) was rented under this listing in the past as some of the things described in these reviews couldn't possibly be true of the cabin as it is currently rented.

I feel it is a significant issue to rent a cabin showing pictures of a much larger area than is actually being rented.

The interior photos are accurate, so look carefully at them as you choose whether or not to proceed with booking this property.

Quiet getaway

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was really quiet and nice. I enjoyed communicating with Marsha. She is such a joy. The neighbors waved or honked when they drove by. How often does that happen anymore? We had more than enough room and loved sitting on the wrap around porch. It was nice and cool when it rained. We even ate out on the porch one night. Marsha has stocked the kitchen with plenty of tools and cookware. We brought fans but most days it was cool without them. Thanks for sharing your house with us. My mom and I enjoyed our time away.

Comfortable in a quiet neighborhood. About 30 minutes from town, waterfalls, tubing, Vogel State Park

  • 4 of 5

Cute little place with a "lodge" feel and decor. Everything you need to cook, relax and enjoy a good night's sleep. A few plastic bowls and plates would have come in handy rather than glassware provided since I have 3 young children. The property is a little further away from everything than I had hoped but the drive to Blairsville, Brasstown Bald or Vogel State Park or Helton Creek Falls to name a few places is very scenic. There is a great, quirky little shopping area called Pappys not far from property that has homemade fudge, ice cream, porches overlooking the river complete with swings among other things. They also offer tubing which we did twice. Relaxing and fun! Beware: the water is cold!! North Georgia is beautiful and we plan to return when we want a slow paced, outdoor vacation.
