About Melissa Myers

Gerry, an etched glass artist, and Melissa, an interior designer, purchased this 'building no one wanted' and our relationship to this historic property has been a longstanding love affair. We enjoy sharing it with others and have met a lot of fun and interesting people doing just that.

Melissa Myers purchased this apartment in 1996

Why Melissa Myers chose Central City/Garden District

Gerry had his Architectural Etched Glass business in this building for over twenty-five years.

What makes this apartment unique

Our location is like the old French Quarter with similar architecture, hidden courtyards, and very creative people living and working here. It has a village feel that we love.

Even better than it looks!

  • 5 of 5

The pictures do not do justice to the space. It is HUGE, open, airy and bright. The apartment is beautifully decorated, stocked with everything you could need and very clean. The location just can't be beat. And the patio is also bigger than it looks - just perfect for people watching and relaxing. Don't hesitate - book this property!

WE LOVE IT

  • 5 of 5

This is our fourth stay in Casabianca. It is lovely, comfortable and convenient to so many restaurants and good shopping. It feels like our second home and we are already planning our next stay.

Lovely Historic Apartment

  • 5 of 5

Our stay has been nice, quiet and peaceful. I love the historical aspect of the apartment and The Garden District. It’s fun to feel more like a local in this New Orleans apartment without the tourism of The French Quarter.

The apartment is sweet and quaint with a very comfortable bed and a nice balcony. It’s also close to some great coffee houses and restaurants.

Thanks for a great stay!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. You remind me of the time when we pioneers were trying to rebuild the neighborhood and often heard from shoppers that they wished there were a coffee shop to relax in...well we have plenty of them now, as you say. We would love to have you back. Melissa

Fabulous

  • 5 of 5

We could not have been happier with our stay at Casabianca. The space is beautiful. Very comfortable bed and all you would need in the kitchen . Great balcony to hang out on. Really gives you the authentic feel of New Orleans. Much better than a hotel in the Quarter. We would absolutely stay again.

One small thing... the dryer can catch and snag your clothes so be aware of that if you do laundry.

Owner's Response: We are so happy that Casabianca fit your needs. As for the clothes dryer, we had noticed that last week and are in the process of replacing it. Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review. Melissa The new washer dryer is being installed on Friday!!!
