Edison birthplace is located in Milan along with a lovely historic museum. Hiking and bird watching can be done in the Erie Metro Park system. About Patricia Limbird
I am a retired school teacher. I am the fourth generation owner of the property. The house was built in 1849 and has had many changes made to it since that time. My father was a farmer and I worked on the farm until I graduated from college. We specialized in growing sweet corn but now raise soy beans, wheat, and field corn.
Patricia Limbird purchased this House in 1995
Why Patricia Limbird chose Milan
The property has special meaning to me since it is where I grew up. It is in a safe, quiet location in the country, but close enough to towns to grocery shop, and buy most anything you would want. Being within 5 miles of Lake Erie is great because of the many activities the Lake area offers.
What makes this House unique
This nine room house is very clean which allows families to spread out during their stay. The kitchen is modern with dishwasher, microwave, and is well equipped. Outside is a patio, chairs, charcoal grill, and fire pit. The backyard is very large for children or others to play in. The area is safe and being in the country it is surrounded by farmland and it is quiet.

House was adequate for our needs. Good experience
Homey, spacious, historic, in lovely country setting
This was exactly what we needed for a two family weekend rental. Even if we had used all the beds, it still would not have seemed crowded. All the rooms are larger than what is pictured, the bedrooms as well, with exceptional closet/storage space throughout. The two bathrooms were more than sufficient, one with shower & tub, the other with shower, and again, plenty of storage space. The inside and out is very well maintained, neat and tidy, with homey and historic decor. The huge lot was perfect for outdoor soccer fun with our grandson. We intended to use the outdoor fire pit, but ran out of time. It was truly our pleasure to meet Pat, and she was so accomodating and helpful to us. We would recommend this site to anyone.
Thank you for your review. I am glad that the house and yard made your stay comfortable and it met your standards of a rental. I enjoyed meeting you.
A great time at a great house. Will definitely use again!!
Amazing setting and pretty close to everything. My family and I enjoyed our stay!

We felt right at home!!
First, thank you so much to Patricia the property owner who was always kind and courteous on the phone, I wish I could have met her in person just to express how much my family and I enjoyed our stay! I had my two sons, daughter-in-law and my two grand-daughters ages 4 and 1. My 1 yr. old grand-daughter had some much fun running around on the soft carpet with her shoes off and one of my sons expressed how he liked the place so much , he didn't want to leave just yet! There was plenty of space for us all to sleep comfortably. The house was so very clean as well as the space around the house. We enjoyed the scene in the morning on the back with the sun out was so beautiful. I even was fascinated by the small honeycomb hive with bees buzzing on and around it! I took pictures and posted them to social media and got many "LIKES" about it. And most of all, a BIG thank you to Jim the property manager who was very understanding of our time arrival and gave us a nice tour of the place when we arrived. I would definitely recommend this place for any one who wants to go to Cedar Point, it was less than 30 minutes away and we had a really fun time there as well. I would also rent this place again in the future. Thanks again Patricia and Jim.

Cute and clean!
The house very clean and we enjoyed staying here. The location was great, only 15 minutes from wherever we needed to go! There is a highway that is close by, but it still very quiet. We only heard the traffic if we were outside. Patricia was great too!
