House, 2 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths
This two bedroom, one and half bath home is located in the Faubourg Marigny adjacent to the French Quarter. You get all of the convenience of the quarter and all of the charm of New Orleans in this location. I fell in love with this home at first site and have tried to make sure it is set up for a most enjoyable visit for you. It is a shotgun style home built in the 1850's with a charming courtyard complete with a gas grill. The kitchen is quite large and includes a 5 burner gas stove.
Queen size memory foam beds in both the master bedroom and the loft bedroom, as well as a queen-sized memory foam fold out couch.

About Anne Hazeltine
I fell in love with New Orleans before I ever even got there. I knew the music scene there would speak to my soul and it does. After just my second visit, I bought this place. I like to travel with my small dog and finding somewhere that was convenient with a kitchen that allowed a small dog was nearly impossible.
Anne Hazeltine purchased this House in 2011
Why Anne Hazeltine chose Faubourg Marigny
On my two previous trips to New Orleans, I had always stayed in the Marigny neighborhood. And since I travel with the dog, we had walked a lot around the area. I loved the neighborhood and everyone was so nice and interesting and welcoming. There are several wonderful coffee shops close by and the live music is so close, as is the French Quarter. And, most of the time, I can find parking near the house! (but no guarantees on that one!)
What makes this House unique
I love that I can park my car and not really need it again the whole time I am there. I can walk 4 blocks to catch the streetcar and go wander New Orleans and the Garden District. Or I can rent a bike and go all over the area. Or I can just chill in the courtyard all day. Or I can wander into the Quarter and shop for art and antiques. And the food! Oh, my, the food! Absolutely the best food and only a short walk away.

Perfect location, lovely home
Stayed a month without a car and never tired of the home or city. Very well supplied home. Contact person and owner both helpful. We had 2 couples and it was great. Easy walk to Frenchmen St, Quarter, Crescent Park, streetcar, supermarket. Only negative the noisy street, but didn’t spend much time in!!
Great Place/Great Location!
Great place and great location!
Great house. Everything we needed was there. Very comfortable and close to everything.
Very clean. Centrally located. Awesome! Ginger was great!!
Great place close to the quarter
Our stay was nothing short of amazing! This house comes stocked with everything you could possibly need. Not just the essentials, but literally everything. The kitchen even has a special cabinet for to-go cups and mard gras party favors! When we arrived, the house was very clean. The courtyard is beautiful, even in the winter, and we enjoyed drinks here on several occasions.
I cannot say enough about the property manager, Ginger. Not only does she make sure you are accommodated with everything you could need, but she is a wealth of knowledge on local places that you need to visit.
We would not think twice about renting this place again. Simply put, exceptional.
Lovely Home; Convenient Location
I stayed here with my adult son just after the new year, when NOLA was experiencing unseasonable cold. The property is a beautiful NOLA shotgun with a sitting room in front, another smaller "library", a large dining area, a beautiful and wonderfully equipped kitchen (although who wants to cook with all the great restaurants) and a Master BR in the rear with an adjacent closet area. There is a staircase just past the front room that leads to a loft BR, a half bath by the "library" and a full bath off the Master BR on the main level with a washer/dryer on a porch beyond the MBR. There is also a lovely courtyard in the rear which is shared with a guest house in the rear. The house does have heat, which was comfortable downstairs but quite warm upstairs, but there was a fan in the loft that made it comfortable as well.
The home is on a somewhat busy street, but it is quiet inside. It has tvs in the front room and each bedroom, a nice radio/stereo system that
Ginger had left playing a wonderful jazz radio station and books and games as well. In short, the house is equipped with everything to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
I brought my dog and there was plenty of green space around to walk her. I also had my car, which I parked on the street in front of the house and did not have to move until I left...and there was no charge to park on that part of the street.
Frenchmen St, with good restaurants and great music, is two blocks away. There are great breakfast places within walking distance as well. There is also Walgreens and a supermarket nearby for whatever you may need or have forgotten to pack. We walked back from Cafe Du Monde on our first night, to Jackson Square one other day, several blocks to take the River Street Car, but mostly took an Uber to other places. I did not feel unsafe at night walking over to Frenchman St, but it is a residential area and is quite dark at night.
I would probably have never ventured to Frenchmen St had I not stayed here and that would have been a great loss. The food we happened to eat there was delicious, but the music was simply wonderful and less crowded with tourists than on Bourbon St.
I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting NOLA. The place is simply wonderful and Anne and Ginger couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.
Cute little house just around the block from Frenchman Street
We LOVED staying in Ginger and Anne’s house. The location was perfect, an easy walk to either Frenchman Street or the French Quarter. The house was clean and well stocked (coffee, herbs/spices for cooking, even some Jell-O shots in the fridge!) We were able to leave our bags early which was very much appreciated and Ginger was very responsive to any questions we had. We’ll definitely be interested in staying here again when we’re back in New Orleans!
This property is just one block from the renowned Frenchman Street in the Marigny Faubourg with all of the wonderful live music clubs and fabulous restaurants. Another 3 blocks and you are in the French Quarter. The charming courtyard provides a fabulous place to relax and enjoy the unique New Orleans ambiance. The house has a queen size bed in both of the bedrooms and the couch is a queen size sleeper sofa.
