Private 1BR Waterfront Suite W/ Kitchen & BBQ, King Bed, Oceanside Hot Tub
About Jack Pope
We discovered the Sunshine Coast in 1974 when Jack needed a place to do his student teaching. Our roots in this beautiful community grew deeper and deeper and we consider ourselves extremely lucky to have found Paradise so early in our lives. Jack enjoyed teaching a variety of subjects at both the high school and elementary levels. His love was history, first nurtured from travelling through Europe. He retired from the classroom in 2006, but quickly replaced this with other interests. He helped to develop the Sunshine Coast B&B Association, and was a Founding Director of Sunshine Coast Tourism. He also served on the Board of Directors for Vancouver Coast & Mountains Tourism Region. Sheila recently retired from a very successful career in real estate. She has replaced her busy work schedule with volunteer work as a member of the Sunshine Coast Search & Rescue Team and Program Director for the Sechelt Rotary Club. Retirement has given us both the gift of time... time to spend with our three grandchildren who live nearby, time to persue hobbies and time for travel. Life is Good!!
Jack Pope purchased this Apartment in 1999
Why Jack Pope chose Sandy Hook
Sheila found this incredible piece of property and we always like to boast that we had the best Realtor in the world. We're on a small body of water that we share with a handful of seasonal cottages, most of which are seldom used, so we have a real heightened sense of privacy and relaxation. It's south facing so we get sunshine all day and experience beautiful sunrises and sunsets throughout the year.
What makes this Apartment unique
When you're on the water you have an expansive, uninterrupted view. We see boats of all shapes and sizes, float planes and a wide range of wild life, both below and above the water and in the air. There's always something that catches your eye, that catches your breath and you just have to stop and look... and then grab your camera.

The suite was small and cozy with touches to make it homey (we especially enjoyed the bbq, popcorn maker with kernels, and coffee provided). Evenings on the dock and in the hot tub really make this property something special. We enjoyed every moment of our time here.
We stayed for a week at Coracle Cove, and it was really nice. The suite was very quiet and we loved the deck and the hot tub. We even got some nice pictures of a visiting seal and a heron. A perfect escape from the bustle of the city.
Can’t think of any negatives!
2nd anniversary getaway. Great location, clean and beautiful suite, huge king bed, cool inside when it’s hot out, private hot tub on the dock.
I’ll be honest and say I had some worries that the dock, hot tub and suite wouldn’t be private enough as this suite is attached to the owners’ main house... but I worry too much! We were left in complete privacy on the dock and lying in the sun all day on the lounging deck and in the hot tub. The view from the living room and bedroom were completely private as well. Jack instantly responded to any texts though and was very helpful, so we couldn’t wait to meet him.
We bbq’d crab and spot prawns on our private bbq and ate outside in our private sitting area. Oh ya and as we watched the sunset on the floating dock , a sea lion? Seal? popped up right in front of us, eating an octopus!
A really memorable trip! Thanks Jack.
Dealt with in a very professional and friendly manner by Jack, who offered lots of great advice. Beautifully clean and cozy place to stay and the hot tub, even in the rain, was heaven. Very nicely stocked kitchen, with lots of pots, pans, and utensils and all the necessities to put together a nice meal (some places we have stayed at, the 'kitchen' is far more limited and makes cooking more challenging). Slept very well in the comfy bed with a great view of the inlet. Happy to recommend.
Thanks so much for your lovely review. We're travellers ourselves, and we like to cook, so we've tried to set up our suite the way we'd like it if we were staying here. We're always on the lookout for ways we can improve the overall experience for our guests.
Coracle Cove is such an amazing place to stay and the location couldnt be any better, especially the fact you wake up facing the inlet. The suite has such charm, from the deck to the landscaping. Inside the suite was clean, cozy and quaint and has everything you need to rest and relax. The host was extremely helping and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this location.
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments. We're travellers ourselves, and we've tried to set up our suite with all of the little details that make for a relaxing getaway. We love helping our guests to experience all of the beauty of Sunshine Coast. We hope to see you again.
A short drive out of the city Sechelt and we found the real paradise.
A beautiful condo with an incredible view of the Inlet. We enjoyed so much to sitting in the whirlpool and watching the boats and the birds.
The condo is very comfortable. The kitchen has all the necessary equipments to prepare an own meal.
The view from the sitting room is amazing- the breakfast will take longer because we need to watch the water.
The bed is a king size and it’s very comfortable. The mattress is soft but not to much. We slept very well.
It was so quiet and relaxing- only the sound of the water or the noises of the birds were to hear.
Our hosts Jack and Sheila are so kind! It was so nice to talk with them. Jack gave us very good recommendation and of course we loved his insider tipps on the website.
We enjoyed a lot our walk to Smugglers Cove or to Skookumchuck Park.
We hope we can come back.Thank you for 4 beautiful days in your little paradise.
It was such a pleasure to be able to host you during your visit to Canada. We enjoyed talking with you and sharing information about each other's countries. Thanks for posting your lovely review and we do hope that you will consider staying with again.
We're located just 10 minutes from the town centre of Sechelt. It's close enough to head in for a relaxing dinner, yet far enough to feel that you are in a very pristine place surrounded by water and trees.
There's lots to do on the Sunshine Coast and we're centrally located to it all. We also maintain a blog with over 70 postings describing our favourite restaurants, hiking trails and all of the other activities that make the Sunshine Coast such a great getaway.
