Highly recommended!

  • 5 of 5

This was our home during the Cavendish Beach Music Festival. It is located just a minutes walk from the concert shuttle pick up location which was ideal. But besides that, the house was a treat in itself. Very clean and well maintained! We really enjoyed admiring the workmanship. I am always impressed by older houses, in particular the detail. Hand-crafted so many years ago with little or no power tools. This one had lots of good conversation pieces throughout. The only issue was the wifi didn't work most of the time. Not a big deal, just more of an inconvenience. Probably more so for those with small data plans. Hoping to return next year.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the great review. So glad you found the house clean and centrally located. Apologies on the wifi - it does work well but from time to time the router needs a bit of a tune up. Looks like that time is now! Appreciate the understanding. Looking forward to hosting you again next summer.

Good Location for Exploring Charlottetown and PEI

  • 4 of 5

The property is located in the older part of the city close to the harbour area. Shops and restaurants were within easy walking distance and we only needed to use the car when making trips around the island. The property is quite old and has a lot of character but some of the stairs were quite steep and could be a problem for the very young, or older people. The kitchen was well equipped and all appliances worked OK. The dining room and lounge areas downstairs were good, but we used the excellent gas grill and ate out on the back terrace when the weather allowed. The bathroom was functional but the light fitting was large and too low for tall people. The upstairs bedrooms and TV area tended to get very hot during our stay and lacked any air conditioning. Also, the sash windows were old and difficult to keep open to provide additional ventilation. First impressions would have been enhanced if the windows had been cleaned, the garden tidied up, and the window frames painted. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place as a good base for exploring the city and PEI.

Perfect Location!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at this charming home. The location could not be any better--easy walking distance to the waterfront, shops, restaurants, and Charlottetown attractions (Victoria Row, Victoria park, Confederation park, St. Dunstan's Basilica). The home is well maintained, beautifully decorated, and clean. Hopefully we can return for an extended visit in the future!

Clean, bright, spacious, and well-equipped

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful visit because we had such a comfortable and spacious home-base for our trip. None of us had been "home" to PEI in several years. We were more interested in visiting and catching up, than going out and this house was perfect for that. But, it is very well located should you want to get out and about. The house is lovely and bright. I wish we could stay longer!

Great location, clean, king sized beds comfortable

  • 4 of 5

The location of this home is excellent. It is very close to downtown and the Charlottetown docks. The home was exceptionally clean and everything needed for cooking and comfortable living was provided. Nice BBQ and kitchen facility. We visited several restaurants downtown, our favourite was Sims, excellent steaks and oyster bar.

Beautiful home in a very convenient location to gorgeous Charlottetown

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our week's stay in this gorgeous home. It has been beautifully updated to provide gracious and comfortable accommodation. We particular liked how close it was to the main streets of Charlottetown. The town is very easy to get around both on foot and by car. We found really great coffee at The Kettle Black nearby. Highlights in the house were the comfortable bed, the gorgeous bathroom and kitchen and we also really loved the dining room and sitting room - that just about covers all the rooms. Only niggles were the Wifi was a bit hit and miss but we used a trick for old houses in UK and sat by the router in the drying room upstairs until there was a really good connection. Also having the television on the 2nd floor was both good and bad. Good because we didn't really watch any TV because it wasn't worth going up there when there was such a gorgeous sitting room to read in and bad because we missed a few favourite shows!
