I moved to Upstate In 1999 and have been in Woodstock ever since. I renovated this sweet Victorian house after purchasing it in 2011. I found it to be the perfect property for a vacation rental because it is so close to town and the suites are incredibly spacious. You can walk to everything you need. I have a pet friendly suite ( The Citrus suite) because I am an animal lover. I also own yoga studios in the area, Woodstock Yoga is just around the corner from the Lalita's Guest House and Shakti Yoga is a 5 minute drive ( that is where you will find me!)
Owner purchased this House in 2011
Why Owner chose Woodstock
I love living in Woodstock and I fell in love with this Victorian that is in one of the best neighborhoods in the Village. You can take a bus to Woodstock and have a fantastic vacation without needing a car. All of the best restaurants and coffee are in a 5 minute walk. I am right on the Tannery Brook and 2 minutes from the Mill Stream.

Quaint retreat close to town
Lovely cozy older home with fun and interesting decor. Great porch and back yard to enjoy while listening to the nearby stream. Walking distance to the center of everything. We loved our stay.
Great location- accommodations just what we were looking for
Great access to town, enjoyed the front porch and backyard as well
Thank you!! You were wonderful guests!! Thanks for being so communicative as well. I am glad you got to enjoy the outdoors -- I love the porch, too!!!
Cozy, clean, conveniently located
Nice place ro stay. Both rooms were nice size and it had everything we needed for a family of 4. Comfortable and cozy. The backyard was also nice and we used the bbq. You can get to restaurants and the center of town in a 5 minute walk. Also 5 minutes form the river swimming holes.
I stayed with my 3 daughters (10 and 9 years old) for 3 days. We found the house to comfortable, clean and quiet. We loved being able to walk into town. We stayed in the Plum Suite and found it had everything we needed. Since my sister now has a house in Lake Hill we intend to stay again. Our new home away from home!
Perfect spot for a trip to Woodstock
We loved this charming place! It is a bit rustic but it is clean, comfortable and perfect for enjoying Woodstock on foot as it is only short and beautiful walk to the center of town.
Check in was a breeze. She emailed us the door combination shortly before arrival and everything was ready and waiting for us on arrival.
If we are ever in Woodstock again, I will definitely stay here.
It was OK -- needed a little TLC
Our hostess was lovely -- welcoming and helpful with questions. We were within walking distance of the wonderful shops and mainstreet of Woodstock. Our dog was very comfortable and welcome -- :). We were surprised by some steep and winding steps to the bedrooms upstairs -- no bathroom upstairs, so at nite a bit harrowing to make a Bathroom visit. It was comfortable enough -- the beds were especially comfortable. The living room cozy -- the TV somewhat askew due a broken base, wifi worked well. The heating was hard to regulate. It needed a bit of TLC (some easy and basic fixes) but we settled in. The kitchen appliances were so-so -- the toaster was hard to make work, the coffee maker called for odd shaped filters of which there were none so we made do with ours, the pots and pans really outdated. I thought the cost was a bit high for what we got. Overall it was so-so.
Thank you for your kind words. I also thank you for your feedback which we will correct immediately, The coffee machine has its own filter that comes with it. It may have been placed elsewhere by another guest. I feel fortunate that the majority of our guests bring their pets and children and find the accommodation very acceptable. I get rave reviews on air bnb as well. We also find that our pricing is competative for locaton and size of property.
Thanks for taking the time to give thorough details of your experience. We try to be incredibly accurate with our description and most agree that it accurate.
Tannery Brook Rd is between Millstream and Tinker Street, Rt 212. It is
