Hanalei Bay Resort unit 7101 is a privately owned, lovingly cared for hotel room style condo. This ground floor unit features a private, walkout lanai that expands your living area and brings you even closer to some of the greatest views on the island. You’ll enjoy a relaxing night’s rest in the luxurious cal-king bed with Tommy Bahama bedding. There is a wall-mounted flat screen TV with DVD player for your entertainment, and air conditioning for your comfort. Though the condo does not feature a kitchen, a small microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, and all of the utensils that you will need to prepare snacks and reheat food are provided. You will also find beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards, tennis racquets, and other equipment to use for your adventures throughout the island. Why pay the prices at the St. Regis hotel when you can get the same views, and much more value for your money?

This condo is located in a more private and peaceful area of the resort, away from the parking lot and commotion. Both swimming pools (including the lagoon style pool, rated by Fodor’s as one of the Top 10 Resort Pools in the US) and barbeque area are just a short walk away. The resort features 8 tennis courts with an award winning program by Peter Burwash International. In about 10 minutes, you’ll find yourself at Pu’u Poa Beach, shared with the St. Regis Resort. Complimentary bell service is available and can provide transport to and from the beach, as well as around the property. Everywhere you walk on the property you will find lush tropical grounds with flowers and greenery as far as the eye can see.

Hanalei Bay Resort is located in a quiet, residential area of Princeville. Just next door on the beach is the St. Regis Resort, which has several dining options available. There are also restaurants located at Pali Ke Kua and the Westin, which are just a short drive away. Just a little further in the car is the Princeville Shopping Center, which is a great place to get your groceries, as well as more dining and shopping options. There is also a gas station and post office located here. The majority of (and greatest variety of) nearby restaurants and shops are in Hanalei and Kilauea.

Please note that the Bali Hai Restaurant is currently closed for renovations. Please rest assured that no noise can be heard from the condo. It is anticipated to open in late 2016/early 2017. The Happy Talk Lounge is now open, and serves lunch and dinner!

We fell in love with this beautiful, tropical resort during a vacation to Kauai many years ago. We finally had the perfect opportunity to purchase this unit in 2003 and now are able to visit our island paradise several times a year.

Lovely property, views are beautiful, amenities are wonderful too. It was great having a swim up bar at the pool and an evening bar and grill on the property. Perfect location!! Will be back !

Beautiful surroundings! We loved the pool with the rocks waterfalls.

The property is well kept and lush! We were sad that the Bali Hai restaurant wasn't open- as it looks like it would have the best views in town! Overall, we had a blast! We would definitely come back and recommend it to our friends and family.

Great newly renovated condo

Lisa is amazing to work with. She is extremely responsive and very good at communicating any questions you may have about her place. The place is newly renovated with a very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The location is the best for a quieter, nicer part of the island. The Princeville area is very beautiful.

Nice resort in a beautiful location

The Hanalei Bay resort is in a very scenic location. It has a great view of Hanalei Bay and we loved watching the sunset from the resort every night. It's a quick 10-15 minute walk down a fairly steep hill to the beach, and about a 10 minute drive to the city of Hanalei where most of the restaurants are located. Overall, the resort is great and beautiful and highly recommended. The unit itself is fairly nice as well - it has a partial ocean view from the back porch and the unit is equipped with beach chairs and beach towels and a number of other things that made us feel comfortably at home. The one drawback about this place is that the unit had a bug problem (there were a lot of mini cockroaches in all of the drawers and in the bathroom).

Owner's Response: I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay in paradise! I certainly strive to provide the comforts of home. This guest's stay was just before a quarterly pest control spraying in the unit, as well as just after all the rains from a hurricane (which can drive bugs inside). The quarterly pest control keeps the majority of bugs out of the unit, but in a tropical environment, there could still be the occasional insect. I've just returned from a trip to Kauai, and can assure any future guests that I saw no evidence of a bug problem in the unit.

Relaxing and Comfy

The unit my husband and I stayed in was 7101, which is like a studio. It was perfect for the two of us, we didn't really spend much time inside. What I liked about this unit is that it was the farthest from the parking lot, pool activity, tennis courts, and restaurant/eatery. The only foot traffic was that of the adjoining unit and it felt more secluded and private. As this unit was farthest, it was quite a hike up hill to the car, pool, and other areas of the resort. If you are a smoker, the only smoking that is allowed on the resort property is one section of the parking lot. I don't smoke, which was no big deal for myself, but if you do smoke, then it may be an inconvenience. I didn't mind the semi steep incline. For those who would mind, there is golf cart service to pick you up and drop you off, which was nice when carrying groceries or luggage. The unit had beach accessories, microwave, and mini fridge. The pool area had three BBQ grills, a regular stove/oven, fridge - very easy to accommodate cooking your own regular meals. The lanai provided a very nice private view. The only negative would be very thin walls. We could hear every word spoken in the attached unit. Thankfully, our neighbors were respectful in the evening. Free wifi is available in the unit, if you follow the instructions for connecting provided by the resort. Communication was pleasant and very easy with Lisa. We enjoyed our five day stay, the privacy and view of this location, and would return again.
