This impeccable town home will be your perfect refuge in Santa Monica. TWO secure parking spaces in underground garage lead directly to your unit.

One flight up brings you to the large cheerful eat-in cook's kitchen, complete with Wolf oven/range and dishwasher. Fully stocked kitchen with excellent appliances so you can really live as you would at home.

Outside of the kitchen brings you to the dining and living area. Authentic Heywood Wakefield mid-century modern furniture and large flatscreen TV provide stylish comfort, as well as fully-stocked bookshelves and DVD library.

Out the front door is a small private patio, perfect for morning coffee or grilling your bounty from Whole Foods (located only 9 blocks away)

Upstairs brings you to lofty skylights, washer dryer in the hallway, and the master bedroom. The ceilings rise up dramatically, with a modern ceiling fan to lull you to sleep in your comfortable queen latex mattress bed. Brand new Calvin Klein bedding, huge reach in closet, vast built-in dresser, sitting area and flat screen TV make this your sanctuary. Master bathroom is fully renovated with large skylit stall shower and deep soaking tub.

Second bedroom also has a large reach-in closet, small dresser, and desk area with printer. Very comfortable queen bed PLUS one twin bed. Attached bathroom has a small stall shower, no tub.

Families should also know that there is fabulous Douglas Park in walking distance, with a great playground for all ages, a duck pond, tennis courts, and lots of kids. Three blocks away is the beautiful Montana branch library, excellent for kids. Best of all, an excellent babysitter is in the townhouse next door.

For those who like to shop, we are two blocks away from famous Montana Avenue, which is filled with clothes stores, cafes, restaurants, food, cheese, and wine stores, hair and nail salons, home much to choose from! Keep walking down Montana and you will come to stairs leading you right down to the beach. If you wanted to ditch the car and stay local, you would have plenty to do!

About Nell

This was my mother's condo, and I'm so happy to share it with you! The location is amazing and it is filled with lots of happy memories. I live with my husband and two young daughters close-by in Venice.

Why Nell chose North of Wilshire

Before I moved to Los Angeles, I spent a lot of time visiting Santa Monica with my family. It was always so hard to find a place that could satisfy our needs (black-out curtains in the baby's room, high chairs, etc.) Also, a lot of times the rentals we ended up with were very dirty. I'm happy to offer a Santa Monica rental that I feel proud of and would have loved to rent myself!

Can't Say Enough Good Things

This condo is lovely, well-appointed, super convenient, quiet, safe, and clean. And Nell is a kind and accommodating owner who responds quickly to requests and special needs.

We stayed in this welcoming rental the month our son was born. (We literally brought him home from the hospital to this unit.) It was the perfect location for a new family. It is nicely decorated with high-end finishes and appliances in most rooms. (The guest bath could use an update, but it was perfectly clean and serviceable.) The master bathroom, though, is a dream! It's gorgeous and there's a skylight in the shower. The kitchen was beautiful and has nice appliances and an in-sink water filter. The building was very quiet overall, but when you opened the windows you could hear the communal water feature in the courtyard. (Very relaxing.) One of the neighbors also has these delightful hummingbird feeders. It was such a joy to nurse my son in the summer afternoon, listening to the water and watching the sweet birds.

The two parking spaces, with direct access to the unit, were great for shopping trips and visiting family. But, we were also able to easily walk to the local Whole Foods, shopping, and restaurants. We also walked to the beach, but that trip may be a bit far for folks who aren't big walkers or who have to haul a lot of beach stuff.

Most of all, we appreciated Nell. She went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed during our stay, and even set up a pack-n-play for us so we didn't have to drag one in from out-of-state. She also had gates and toys, though we didn't need them this visit. If you have to have a baby 3,000 miles away from home, it was great to have such an accessible and helpful host.

Finally, although my review focuses on our family experience, I could absolutely see going back for more adult-centered stay. This unit would be a great option for a girl's weekend or couple's trip to LA.

Wonderful property in a great location

We had a great time in Nell's condo (45 days). This was the second time we stayed there (the first being Summer of 2015). Its a wonderful property in a great location in Santa Monica. Close to Montana, 3rd Street Promenade and the beach. It has a nice homey feel to it. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives. We hope to be able to use the condo next summer as well!

Heavenly Santa Monica residence

I recently moved to LA from Seattle, and had the great luck to land in this wonderful condo for my first 2.5 months. It truly felt like a California haven.

The location is ideal, near Montana Avenue with all it's cool shops and cafes, and also near the entrance to I-10 for easy access to other parts of LA. It's also 19 blocks from Palisades Park, which overlooks the Santa Monica beach. My dog and I made that our daily walk ... round trip it's a perfect 3 miles!

The condo itself is super clean and spacious, set in a complex that is blissfully quiet and peaceful. The only sound I heard with the windows open was the courtyard fountain and a neighbor's wind chime softly blowing in the ocean breeze.

The homeowner, Nell, was fantastic and her place truly feels like a home. I would highly recommend it for a long-term stay in beautiful Santa Monica!

Perfect Santa Monica

This is a well built, well maintained condo one block off Montana Ave. Very comfortable and quiet. The kitchen has a high end range and oven with all the accessories you could need.

The library has more books than you could read in a year and the cable TV is first rate.

Above all, Nell, the proprietor, is very responsive and takes great care of you.

We plan to return.

Fabulous family vacation at Nell's

Nell's place in Santa Monica was the best. We spent the Christmas week there and enjoyed being able to prepare and enjoy meals as a family, play games and complete puzzles. When we chose to go out there were so many options close by it was hard to choose. We loved Arts Table, which is close by on Montana. The house was cozy and comfortable. Nell was always available, but since the house was so equipped we didn't need any assistance. Thank you, Nell. We hope to come back soon. Carlotta from New Jersey.

Everything We Needed, Wonderful Location, too!

We moved to SaMo at the end of August & we're so lucky to find this rental thru VRBO. The price is reasonable, and the townhouse is so well-equipped, with comfortable beds, kitchen w/all appliances one could want, & we were in walking distance to the local library, wonderful coffee houses, cafes & 2 (!) Whole Foods:). It was an ideal transition rental, & we enjoyed staying very much.
