Our land was filmed for the upcoming Star Wars episode scheduled for release in December 2018. 2017 fully booked, taking 2018 reservations only. The only location in Dingle where everything is within a quick walk, beach, marked walking trails, cafe, shoppe and 5 minute drive to pubs and golf course.

The Area: All pictures are actual, there are no photoshopped or commercial pictures. This lovely home has everything, including quick walk to the magnificent Clogher Beach, to shops, to restaurants, marked walking trails from house, and 5 minute drive to Ballyferriter Village for pubs, more restaurants, market, Ceann Sibeal Golf Course and Ferry to Blasket Island.

Our land totals 32 acres looking over Clogher Beach with our own private beach at O'Neill's Cove. The massive 38 foot open plan kitchen sitting room has a log or turf burning fireplace, Bose CD/DVD, Sony large screen television system and Bose iPod docking station. In the laundry room/exercise room there is a Bosch supersize washer and a dryer (22 lb capacity each) . The house is equipped with a complete gym area with top end treadmill, Wii Fitness system, and elliptical trainer so that you can maintain your exercise regime, although, with so much walking, hiking and running available there will hardly be time! There is a library in the house as well as a collection of over 200 DVD’s and CD’s for your entertainment. This is truly a magnificent home.

Also, we can arrange for private horse trekking, if you are interested. The Ceann Sibeal golf course is just a 5-minute drive and is never crowded. It is a beautiful “links” course with no starting times! House keeping services are available. Additionally we are happy to recommend private catering for you at home, should you be interested. The pubs in Ballyferriter are among the friendliest with great entertainment (coel and craic) and plenty of pub food!

Wonderful Hosts! Beautiful Home! Stunning Area!

  • 5 of 5

We traveled on family holiday (my husband, adult son &, daughter-in-law, adult son & girlfriend) to Ireland for our very 1st visit to this spectacular country! We spent 2 wonderful weeks in Ireland (2 days in Dublin, 1 week staying on the Dingle Peninsula, and 5 days traveling up the west coast to Northern Ireland (UK) and back to Dublin). Ireland is a beautiful country but we can honestly say the greatest beauty of all is right on Dingle Peninsula! We wanted to stay in 1 place for a week so we could immerse ourselves in the surrounding area while having relaxation time too. We are so glad we decided on Dingle Peninsula and Clogher Beach Home!

From the moment I reached out to Leah, she was extremely helpful and hospitable! We had heard that you will not find kinder people than the Irish and we found that to be very true! Likewise Leah's husband Eric was so kind to take us on an archeological tour of the area. Eric may not have been born in Ireland as Leah was but his love for the beauty and history of Ireland is just as strong!

Their home is absolutely beautiful, spacious, luxurious and very clean! It exceeded our expectations by far! We all had a master suite with a sitting area and our own private baths. The open floor plan (kitchen & living area) was grand and our children often opted to stay home in the evenings enjoying a fire and playing board games. The sunroom hosted one spectacular family dinner for the 6 of us and was a lovely place to sit and have a tea or coffee. Leah and Eric's home is truly a "home" in every sense and we had all the comforts one could wish for!

To top that off we had the most stunning views all around! We loved exploring their land (and own private beach at O'Neill Cove) as well as Clogher Strand. Every day we saw something new and could not get enough of the natural beauty surrounding us! We had set our sights on climbing to the peak of Mount Brandon and we did it! We had a foggy overcast day but we were awarded with the sun and wonderful views on our way back down, another magical day on Dingle Peninsula!

The location of their home is truly the loveliest spot on the peninsula! Ballyferriter Village is a true gem and just 5 minutes away (Murphy's has the best food and the locals (pub owners included) were very welcoming)! Dingle is just a 20 minute drive with great live music nightly!

Thank you Leah and Eric for opening your home to us! The week we stayed there was genuinely the highlight of our Ireland adventure!

Owner's Response: Dear Karen, Jeff and "Kids". Wow! Eric and I so enjoyed reading your beautiful and kind remarks. We are equally delighted that we were included in your first ever Irish stay and that you enjoyed it so much!.. Thank you, seems too simple a word. We don't know how to express our appreciation for your thoughts, which you, so beautifully, put in writing! Just to say, please, come visit us again!!!! Fondly, Leah and Eric

Amazing Hosts & Amazing O'Neill Clogher Strand Home!!!

  • 5 of 5

My wife, our 4 children and I could not have been more pleased with our week's stay in the O'Neill home on Clogher Strand on the Dingle Peninsula. Leah and Eric were amazingly gracious hosts, from our first point of contact with Leah regarding the rental to the sad day when we checked out of their beautiful home to continue our holiday in Ireland.

The scenery in every direction from the home was breathtaking and most obviously touched by the hand of God. The location on Slea Head Drive put us within an easy walk or drive to an almost unlimited number of worthwhile destinations (Ballyferriter, town of Dingle, Sybil Head, Louis Mulcahy Pottery, numerous historical/archeological sites, amazing beaches, etc.).

The home itself was extremely spacious and equipped with anything you could want to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. The beautiful, modern kitchen was very well stocked, if you are so inclined to cook your own meals. The beds were very comfortable. The library contained a wide range of interesting books and authors. The bath towels and robes were plush. The original artwork by Honora and Liam O'Neill, Leah and Eric's daughter and nephew, was first rate. Most importantly, the views of the north Atlantic, of Sybil Head (location of the yet to be released "Star Wars" movie), and seemingly endless green pastures for the local sheep, goats and cows were just incredible.

We hiked along the well marked trails hugging the rugged north Atlantic coast line and explored multiple beaches Each turn along the trails led to a new "post card" view. The archeological tour of the area provided by Eric really helped us gain a deeper understanding of the history of the peninsula and its people.

Our week's stay in the O'Neill home gave us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the local communities. The locals were extremely friendly and we experienced memorable craic on nightly visits to Murphy's Pub for a pint or two in Ballyferriter, a short 5 minute drive from our home for the week.

The daily 5 minute walks to Louis Mulcahy Pottery to view the incredible pottery and enjoy the tasty farm/sea to table soups, salads, sandwiches, scones and other delicious baked goods was a treat for the entire family.

Our only disappointment with our stay was that it ended too soon. However, we're already talking about our next trip to Ireland, which will most definitely included another extended stay at Leah and Eric's Clogher Strand home!

Owner's Response: Dear Angie, Jeff and kids! Such a lovely review, Eric and I were overwhelmed, so naturally we had to keep reading over and over. As we said, your children were so lovely, respectful and appreciative and such a credit to their parents, YOU. We would love to have your return and welcome you at any time. Again, thank you so much for your thoughtful and kind review. Best wishes, Leah and Eric

Incredible stay..10 stars!

  • 5 of 5

After visiting Dingle every year for the past 10 years, we decided to stay away from the growing traffic and crowds of Dingle town, lack of parking and complete congestion and discovered Clogher Beach. It is just 15 minutes from Dingle town, and the furthest point west on the Dingle peninsula just next to the village of Ballyferriter and the most beautiful sea views and land fronted on the sea, all 32 acres of it! We have stayed at premium houses around the world and the O'Neill house is absolutely the top of the list. We read reviews continually of Dingle stays and see pictures of basic houses that are described as luxury..this house truly is absolute luxury. Magnificent ocean views, 5 minute walk to the magnificent Clogher Strand and the private beach at O'Neill cove owned by the family. Every premium convenience from toiletries, robes, luxury furnishings, completely supplied larder, lovely pottery cafe 5 minute walk from house, the marked walking trails where Star Wars was filmed, pubs 5 minute drive as is the 18 hole golf course. The pictures of the property just don't prepare anyone for this spectacular home. We are not people who exaggerate, this is based on our personal experiences and knowledge of the Dingle and the Dingle peninsula. Every bedroom, all four with private bathrooms, all are very large with sofas for relaxing and luxury bedding. Nothing could have prepared us for this fabulous property. So our criteria is: walk to beach, walk to restaurants, walking trails, sea views out every window and we had it all at Clogher Beach down to the last detail. Eric and Leah are the most accessible hosts, yet not intrusive. Eric took us on a tour of the peninsula and shared his expertise on the historic sites..all at no charge! If you want to visit the Blasket Islands, the Dunquin pier is 5 minutes from the house, and quick boat ride to the island, as suggested by Eric and was well worth the trip. We were given free phone service to book restaurants, call home, and contact Leah and Eric, as they said, any time, day or night. There are cable televisions in every room of the house, and great wifi throughout. They wanted to make certain all our needs were met..and believe me, all six of us had the best stay I have ever experienced as a seasoned Dingle traveler! Thank you Leah and Eric for sharing your beautiful home with us in an unforgettable week, we will be back next year!

Dingle Dream Home

  • 5 of 5

Before he passed, my father always spoke of Dingle as his favorite place on earth. As I marked a milestone a year and a half ago, I decided it was time to visit and discovered this beautiful home on VRBO (we stayed in August of 2015). As I contemplate a return to Ireland this summer, it's finally time to write about Leah and Eric's gem along the coast, and most importantly, their hospitality. With my college-aged daughter, her best friend, and my two dear friends ready to join me, I booked the home and was immediately impressed with Leah's responsiveness. She was so helpful, answering questions and making suggestions on multiple fronts, including where to stay before we arrived in Dingle and what we needed to experience throughout our trip. We hiked, went horseback riding, enjoyed fabulous music, food, and galleries... and all were enhanced by Leah and her husband Eric's great advice. The home itself is beautifully appointed and includes a gorgeous, well-equipped kitchen with a gas stove and high-end appliances. The beds are extremely comfortable -- always appreciated, especially during an extended stay (we were there for a week). The large windows allow fabulous views of the ocean along Slea Head Drive, and the beach is less than a five-minute walk. The area is a runner's dream (my morning runs through the meadows above the ocean brought me great peace), and all of us enjoyed the cows and the sheep that we encountered across the road and throughout the area. The small town of Ballyferriter is just a 5-minute drive (pottery-lovers, make sure you visit Sinead Lough and Louis Mulcahy), and Dingle is only 15 minutes away (favorite pubs: Foxy John's and An Droichead Beag). A drive to Kenmare and Killarney is an easy day trip (sweaters and great hiking), and Eric's driving tours along the Dingle Peninsula are a must. Finally, don't forget to stop into the Dillon Gallery to see -- or buy -- the beautiful art of Honora O'Neill, Leah and Eric's very talented daughter. One of the best vacations ever... by the time we left, we felt like family. Thank you.

Wonderful Experience Celebrating Our 25th Anniversary - Thank You

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at this wonderful home on the wild Atlantic coast. You can literally hear the waves crashing ashore from the well furnished master bedroom. So cozy. The owners were very easy to work with and very attentive to our needs. Thank you Leah for all the extra touches that made us feel welcome. Thank you Eric for the fascinating archaeological tour. We will never forget our time there, and hope to return with our grown children in the future.

Perfect Dingle Destination

  • 5 of 5

We rent vacation homes on a regular basis and Leah and Eric are far and away the most pleasant and helpful owners we've ever had the pleasure to deal with. Lovely over the e-mails, phone and in person! We felt so comfortable in their home - and they were always free to answer questions. Everyone had a cozy bed and after lots of hiking and exploring the boys and my husband enjoyed the easy to use tv's and wi-fi. I personally couldn't get enough of looking out the windows and the magnificent views. As Star Wars fans, we can't wait to see the "Skellig Wars" segments in the next movie! The beach location was also perfect for castle building until 10:00 at night - as the sun sets so late in the summer!

Eric's tour was a highlight for us with his great storytelling and fact sharing. He also showed us places we were able to drive ourselves back to later for our own explorations and he was so patient allowing me a few extra minutes for snapping photos. We enjoyed visiting their gallery in Dingle and did buy some beautiful prints (thank you for the gifts to our boys!)

Dingle is a lovely town with lots to do. We enjoyed every shop, pub, etc. we tried. Murphy's ice cream became a daily destination. Other reviews give more suggestions, our family just says - it's all good around the Dingle Peninsula / Ring of Kerry area.

Our favorite two things about our amazing Irish adventure

1. EVERYONE in Ireland is so kind, helpful, and just the most lovely people you will ever meet!

2. Everything you see is a postcard vision! Each home, each vista, each cliff, ancient ruin, church, graveyard, pub, baby lamb.... Everyone cares for their homes and property and it shows - It's Heaven here and our family will definitely be back!

We highly recommend this home especially if you love to walk/hike along the coast and enjoy having a cozy spot where you can enjoy a lovely view every day. Lots to do within a short driving distance too.

Thank you, Leah and Eric! We so enjoyed meeting you :)
