Bon Bon was super!

  • 4 of 5

We loved staying at Bon Bon right on Inlet Beach. This is a gem. We have stayed in Rosemary and Seacrest for seven years and the beaches have gotten so crowded. Going a mile down to Inlet Beach is much more quiet and peaceful. My teenage boys liked the crowds to find friends, but that is what phones are for right?! Bon Bon was a bit older than I am use to but the town house was clean and tidy. Jerry provided enough towels, and essentials to make it all work out great. We even left beach stuff to add to the collection. I have to say, my favorite part was talking with Chris and Carrie next door and learning the history of the street! I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at Bon Bon for 4 days and 3 nights and had a good time, location and the view are second to none, but the accommodations left a lot to be desired. Place looks very old and can use some serious updating, plaster on ceiling in the kitchen by Ac vent was peeling and had fallen on the floor, furniture were old and looked dirty, the two pull out coaches were out of date and their mattresses we uncomfortable and springs in them made a lot of noise. This place is advertised for 8 people , but in reality there is enough room for 4 people to be comfortable, over all it was a enjoyable visit, but I would have paid more for a more updated and cleaner place.

Great location and good value

  • 3 of 5

Note all restaurants and activitvities require driving, however, the location is a great reprieve from the conjested beaches. Note that the more popular beaches are in walking distance via the beach. Traditional beach house but realize it is tired and lacking some basic maintenance. Bedroom televisions were impossible to operate.

Excellent condo, beautiful beach!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had stayed in Destin last year and, while it was great and we had a fantastic time, for me much was left to be desired. I would rather be in the mountains than on the beach any day. That is just more my style. So, when I was outvoted on vacation location, I sighed and thought about the lugging of beach accessories and chairs and shelter and a full ice chest through the parking lot and across the street to the beach. I cringed at the idea of the busy beach and the need to get there early to get a spot. Then, I found Bon Bon. The beach is easily accessible in a minute or less. No streets to cross at all. There were beach chairs and umbrellas available so I didn't have to haul them from Tulsa. When you get to the beach, there are barely any people at all and the beach is amazing for all ages. There was much more wildlife in the water to see, gradually deepening water would allow little ones lots of safe play (I don't have little ones, just an observation), and did I already say, nearly secluded. We are talking 400 yards of beach with 15 people on it. Neighboring the beach is a state park, which really felt more like a nature preserve. The presence of the park next door helped add to the seclusion of the beach as really no one entered the beach from that direction while we were there. The condo itself is nice, with two decks, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, dishwasher, very good AC and great decor that makes it feel like home. This is no upscale luxury condo, but it is for me exactly what you would want in a beach condo. We had 5 in our group and easily could have had 3 other people there all with a bed to sleep in. Jerry was very easy to talk to and even corresponded with me prior to our arrival while out of the country. He is great. The surrounding area is more residential in feel than resort town, which I loved. And for those that require the shopping and consumption of food chain restaurant fare, crowds and such, Panama City Beach is only a few minutes away. There you have a mall and pier area with all the shops and eateries you could ask for. I tried my best to avoid that place, but did end up there one evening and it was really nice, if you like that sort of thing. All in all, this trip to the beach was likely the best vacation that my family has ever taken. I wouldn't hesitate to refer family to Bon Bon and as a beach destination, I would never really want to go anywhere else.
