Quite secluded section of Inlet Beach on a dead in street next to a state park.
Waking up in the morning looking at the Gulf of Mexico! Walking to Rosemary Beach on a very secluded stretch of South Walton County.
What a great location! We loved our stay! This is such a beautiful part of the beach and not crowded at all! We hope to have many visits to Bon Bon!!
Beautiful hidden spot our family truly enjoyed! Loved meeting the ones that live near by especially Ms Sue! Look forward to going again!
We stayed at Bon Bon from Christmas to New Years and what a wonderful time we had. We found the condo to be clean and fully equipped. We really enjoyed the coffee and water that was left for us....didn't have to run to the grocery store right away. The view of the Gulf from the master bedroom balcony was spectacular. We enjoyed the WIFI and the HD TV downstairs. We found that it had Netflix capability which helped us watch lots of movies. As advertised, the beach was quiet with just a few folks walking up and down the beach....yet we could walk on the beach to Rosemary Beach about ten minutes away. Frankly, we were glad there was not a pool....it made Bon Bon quieter. We have stayed at this Condo several times and still recommend it highly. For the price, this is a steal.
I have stayed at Bon Bon on and off over the last 15 years during the week of Thanksgiving. It had been 8 years since my last visit this past November so I was able to see all of the new improvements Jerry added. The place was very clean when we arrived. The bedding and towels are great quality. Toiletries and bottled water are supplied. Also, Jerry was very pleasant to deal with.
The sliding doors do stick and are not easy to open but the view and location of this rental property is priceless! There are only 3 town homes that face the gulf and even though both were occupied while we were there we never heard our neighbors. I highly recommend Bon Bon if you are looking for a place to stay in Inlet Beach, FL !
We were looking forward to a nice stay near the beach as a getaway from Atlanta. Although we had a great time, I wouldn’t recommend staying at Bon Bon.
Regarding the accommodations, it was obvious that maintenance has been neglected for a long time. The first impression walking up the stairs to the condo set the tone for the stay. The front door & steps are scuffed up & in need of fresh painting. Once inside, the entire unit had a damp, dirty smell that we tried to cover up with Febreze & candles. I changed the furnace filter which was dirty and noticed towels had been placed in the pan inside the HVAC to soak up water. The towels were dry, stained & probably responsible for the smell. Looking into the vent in the kitchen, you could see a black coating in the ducts. Whether it was dirt or mold, I can’t say. The walls throughout the condo are in need of fresh paint. The sofas in the living room were old uncomfortable.
The upstairs was in similar condition. Ceilings were in need of repair with the ceiling in the master partially falling down. One of the toilets was unflushed after someone left us a present and #2 was stuck to the sides. Really nice way to start off the stay. My shower had 2 crumpled up, used, dried washcloths in it. The stairs and upstairs floors are covered in brown shag carpeting that is old, dirty & needs to be replaced. There was an outlet without a cover plate upstairs and another outlet unsecured from the wall downstairs. The sliding door onto the upstairs deck didn’t lock and you had to pull very hard from the bottom to open it. The handle on the downstairs sliding door was falling apart & difficult to lock. After seeing how dirty the place was, we washed our sheets & any kitchenware we used. I’m so glad we brought our Keurig coffee machine & Brita filter.
I did email the owner the day after we arrived & told him he might want to consider a new cleaning company. He replied, “I will address ASAP.” No apologies & never heard from him again even after notifying him we had left the last day.
If you are looking for a gulf-front stay that is pet friendly and reasonably priced, this is the place for you. Our 2 dogs had a blast on the almost private beach adjacent to St. Helen's.However, be aware there are draw backs. The complex is showing its age and maintenance in Bob-Bon seems to be an issue. The upstairs sliding door was next to impossible to slide open, downstairs sliding door latch needs repair; upstairs TV did not work, carpeting badly stained. In Jerry's defense, when the A/C broke down on our third night, he did follow up and we were only without air for a day (and one night at 85 degree unpleasant sleep).A sign on the bathroom door warns to keep door closed or A/C freezes up so there may have been previous AC issues. There is very limited cutlery for 6 people, but rest of kitchen well stocked. Coffee & toiletries provided which was a nice touch, and there are new umbrellas and beach chairs.Had a fabulous time on Sea Blaster, Georges at Alys Beach, Havana at The Pearl are highly recommended. We would stay in Inlet again as we have for the past 20 years, but will opt for a different complex other than Shoreline Nine
