About Erik

Husband and wife with two kids and a great labrador retriever who loves to jump off the dock. We enjoy everything there is to do in this very unique area! So much fun to be had we almost never sit down!

Erik purchased this house in 2005

Why Erik chose Lake Nebagamon

Grew up coming to Lake Nebagamon and know it to be very special and unique compared to other lake settings in WI or MN. This is not a dedicated rental home - we enjoy it extensively ourselves and have our friends and family visit often. When we can't be there, we love to share it with guests.

Absolutely perfect!

Loved this house, this lake, the boat(s)...everything.

The owner even responded to my message early in the week that the toaster had died and he sent Amazon Prime to the rescue and a new one showed up 2 days later.

The home is very well kept up, plenty of pots and pans. Sun room is beautiful and gets great circulation.

Took the boat out and had great luck fishing just north of the house, caught a few nice bass and Northern. We caught the same right off the dock of the property too.

There is an eagle's nest right across the lake on the point so you'll often get to see the eagles soaring right overhead or can pontoon over and look at the nest, or use the nice binoculars that they provide in the house to watch them from the dock.

If I were forced to make a negative comment, I would be the lack of a pantry to store all our food for the week. When you're buying for 6 or 8 people, there's a lot of "stuff" laying around and the cabinets were mostly full with other items already. We used the island as a nice open pantry and it was fine.

Owner was very responsive all week via text for any questions or concerns.

We're hoping to be back next year.

Everything you could ask for and more!

  • 5 of 5

Our family has been vacationing here for the last four years. We have never had an issue or complaint. The house is exactly as pictured and described. It is always clean, ready, stocked with anything we may need, and has plenty of room. I can't say enough about the hosts. They are caring, friendly, and available if needed. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

The grandchildren love swimming on the raft, fishing off the pier, kayaking, and paddle boating. The lake is never real crowded making it ideal for water sports. Taking the pontoon for a ride is always enjoyable and typically means a trip to Dairy Queen and a stop at the light house for a swim. Scenic parks with waterfalls, Hayward, and Duluth are all close. We've made memories here that will last a lifetime. We just returned and are already making plans for next summer's stay. Can't wait!

Great week up North!

We were very pleased with this house, looks just like the pictures. Nice and clean. There is a fairly steep hill to walk down to get into the house from the road. Had a great time fishing, caught quite a few Walleyes and Crappie. Our dogs loved swimming in the lake. It was beautiful watching the mist burn off the lake every morning. We would love to fish here again!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review - we are thrilled that you had a great time. Wanted to address the one comment for potential future guests that late in the Fall of 2013 we had the driveway re-done such that any caliber of vehicle can use it, not just 4 wheel drive vehicles. This will allow you to park multiple vehicles right next to the house. Additional vehicles can also be parked on the property at the top of the driveway, which is 75-100 feet long and about the pitch of a moderate sledding hill. There is a stairway with handrail that can also be used as an alternative.
