Totally isolated, gravel road entrance--yet 5 minutes from downtown Village of Ruidoso, 10 minutes from 3 casinos and racetrack.

Cool! and wildlife

Cabin is set at 7500 feet, which averages about 8 degrees cooler in the summer from downtown, and 15 degrees cooler than the El Paso/Albuquerque/Lubbock southwest! Visitors from the Dallas or Houston area will notice that while Sandy's Place is in the mountains, it still carries LOW humidity.

Deer, elk, wild turkeys, raccoons daily visitors--most female deer will eat deer corn out of your hand!

Access

Sandy's Place is easily accessed from US 70 through downtown Ruidoso, New Mexico--yet retains it's quiet charm off a gravel access road that accommodates two full-time residences and this home. Easy accessibility in spring, summer, and fall by any vehicle: winter months might require 4-wheel drive depending on conditions.

Rejuvenate your mind and spirit

  • 5 of 5

I absolutely loved my stay at Sandy's Cabin!!

The immense beauty of seeing the mountains, the forest and wildlife while on the deck is one of the most relaxing times that I have ever experienced!

Everything is included so that you just sit back, relax and watch the scenery or entertain yourself with cards, games or reading.

That was the best night's sleep that I have had for a very long time!!

I feel rejuvenated in my mind and in my spirit!! :)

So looking forward to my next stay at Sandy's Cabin!!

We had a great time. Enjoyed the cabin. Mr. White answered the phone immediately when I called and talked me all the way to the driveway. Very friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed the deck in the mornings and the evenings. Hummingbirds were enjoyable to watch. One was very aggressive to the other 6.

We plan on staying in the future. I would recommend a 4wd in the winter months.

Trip

  • 2 of 5

It was a cute little cabin that needs a whole lot of TLC to it!! Didn't like the encline road to get to it we where on a motorcycle. I should have checked that out before booking. The bed was in need of replacing all in all it was cute but too old for my taste.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your response Yes, it is a cute little cabin, but does have a lot of TLC into it. The incline (not encline) to be above the clouds as it were, is what it is--all paved road except for the gravel alley to access the cabin. Sorry it's too "old" for you--both cabins built of solid wood in 1960; most renters love the quiet and rustic atmosphere. But all in all, glad you enjoyed your experience!

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for a quick get-a-away and could not have been more pleased. Clean, cute, quiet and priced right. Great view from the deck and the cabin had everything we needed. Larry was around and very helpful with everything from real estate inquiries to restaurant suggestions. Will be back soon....
