Cool! and wildlife
Cabin is set at 7500 feet, which averages about 8 degrees cooler in the summer from downtown, and 15 degrees cooler than the El Paso/Albuquerque/Lubbock southwest! Visitors from the Dallas or Houston area will notice that while Sandy's Place is in the mountains, it still carries LOW humidity.
Deer, elk, wild turkeys, raccoons daily visitors--most female deer will eat deer corn out of your hand!
Sandy's Place is easily accessed from US 70 through downtown Ruidoso, New Mexico--yet retains it's quiet charm off a gravel access road that accommodates two full-time residences and this home. Cozy and relaxing
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway to Ruidoso. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and responsive. The cute cabin had everything we needed, including a delightful wrap-around porch for sundown wine and cheese, and surprise woodland visitors. We will definitely stay here again!
Nice cozy cabin. Not totally secluded but it was still nice and peaceful. Great view of the mountain
Overall it was a great experience in Ruidoso and enjoyed staying at Sandy's cabin. It was really close to downtown.
The cabin was clean. Pretty rustic. Not as secluded as was represented to us
The cabin was ok except the heat did not work at all in the living room. Had to use the oven and stove for heat There were also lots of spiders in the house. It was also represented that it was more secluded it was in a neighborhood lots of cabins We had a good time but won’t choose this cabin again
This cabin is amazing. The owners are very nice. WE will come back again!!!
Clean and all the amenities you could want. Dish TV and internet available. Definitely enjoyed it....hated to leave. Friendly neighbors.
Thanks JoAnn! Glad you had a great time in paradise.
