Guestbook comments from the manager

We had a wonderful time. The Lodge was perfect for our family. We would recommend it to all our friends -- although we would like to keep it a secret so we could make sure it would be available to us again. Thank you so much for a wonderful 'all we needed' experience. We even got to see a few bears -- you couldn't even imagine our excitement. Thanks so much.

Beautiful and comfortable home in a perfect location. My group has gotten together for a long weekend every year for many years and this house was one of our favorites.

Garbage disposal is problem ,

Not enough hot water

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review, especially titling it 'Fun place'. As you know from reading our correspondence and rental rules, there is no trash pickup. When we are there, we just build that into our schedule. Two weeks ago, I went to the Trash and Recycling Facility a couple of times and found it to be about five miles from our home, very tidy and well-run, with helpful personnel on duty. As to the hot water issue, we are having our hot water heater checked to make sure it is on the proper setting. I apologize for this being a problem for you. I hope you will visit us again and I will do anything I can to make these two items non-issues.

Great trip!

  • 5 of 5

We held a small reunion of friends from med school at the lodge and had a wonderful time. Nice and spacious with a great back porch. The drive is a bit far to travel to and from Asheville, but there were some great restaurants and coffee shops nearby and we enjoyed the Catawba Falls hike! Would definitely stay there again.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review. Reunions are a specialty at Wildcat Lodge as we have great open spaces for catching up as well as five bedrooms/baths for privacy as needed. So glad you enjoyed the Catawba Falls hike. I did, too!!!

Awesome Girls weekend!

  • 5 of 5

Spent the BEST weekend with some of my best friends. We went to Suraj Spa in Asheville(which was awesome), ate at the Dark City Cafe(huge amounts of food for little $$) and spent an afternoon in Asheville eating at Curate and shopping. Sitting around the fire at night and cooking meals in the perfect kitchen just topped the weekend off!

Owner's Response: I'm so glad you all had a great weekend!! I agree there is so much to see and do in Asheville and just hanging out at Wildcat Lodge is a wonderful way to enjoy good friends. The kitchen and firepit are two of my favorites, too. Thanks for writing and please visit us again soon!!

Perfect Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Our two families immensely enjoyed our time at Wildcat Lodge. With a gaggle of small kids in tow, the basement/game room was a beautiful thing and helped us all enjoy our time a little more. The cabin was everything we had hoped it would be and we will definitely make a return trip in years to come.
