Cape Cod house located in a private association in Pocasset, a couple of miles South of the Bourne Bridge. The house is located on a small peninsula reaching out into Buzzard’s Bay approximately 65 miles from Boston.
The house is centrally located in a family oriented, child-friendly, quiet association with all the association’s amenities at a short walking distance: the beach, the dinghie boat dock and two tennis courts.
The house itself has 5 bedrooms (3 bedrooms with Queen beds / 1 bedroom with two kids bunk beds each / 1 bedroom with one kid bunk bed + pull-out sofa) and 2 1/2 bathrooms (one bath/ one shower / one half), plus a gorgeous outdoor shower.
We furnished the home to comfortably accommodate up to 6 adults and 6-8 children/teens, whether it be one large family or multiple families. In the home, you will find all of the amenities you can expect in a great vacation home: air conditioning, LED TV and hi-fi system with LP and CD/ DVD player, wireless internet, fully furnished kitchen, a brand new extended outdoor patio with teak furniture, gas and charcoal BBQ, wood fire pit, etc.
The house is also furnished will all sorts of entertainment for all age, from the swing sets in the backyard to the kayak and 7 bikes in the garage or the pool/ air hockey or foosball tables in the basement.
If you have a boat, there is an association dinghie dock that can be used by the residents and guests (dinghies up to 10 feets, no overnight, subject to association rules). Bassetts Island is a short boat ride from the dock.
The association beach is ideal for families with young kids: the beach is small, the slope is gentle and the waves are small. Bassets Island offers more beaches and several public beaches from Bourne (Monument Beach) or North Falmouth (Old Silver Beach) are minutes away from the house.
If you are looking for a restaurant, the Chart Room is located at walking distance from the house and there are several other options in a short driving distance from the house.
Many Cape Cod activities are located close to Pocasset: several Golf and mini-golf, bike trails, amusement parks etc.

We purchased the house 2011 and have spent great family time since then
Marc Antoine & Niki Henroz purchased this house in 2011
Pocasset is a beautiful, easy access, not too crowded and friendly part of the Cape.
The house has a very private setting with no direct neightbours. Hanging around on the ouside patio with family and friends is simply great!
We have completely refurnished the home in 2011-12 (beds, linen, towels, chairs, sofa). In 2013 we also build a new outside patio and outdoor shower.
This was our first year vacationing on the Cape, and this house could not have been more perfect for us! My parents, my sister, our husbands and our kids were more than comfortable and happy with this house!
The inside was equipped with everything we could have possibly wanted; from the fairly new appliances, BEAUTIFUL dishes, garbage disposal and plenty of counter space, to the roomy couches, sizeable bedrooms and large dining room!
We were outside every day playing, BBQ'ing and making s'mores. The outside had 2 swings for the kids, plenty of frisbees and balls, another large table for meals, a great outdoor shower and fire pit! We walked to the beach every day, which never took more than 2 minutes, even with our kids and gear in tow. The tennis courts are right next to the house, and were not being used by anyone but us!
I highly recommend this house to families or groups looking for a relaxing, quiet area to vacation in. The Chart Room restaurant, as well as a few little shops is right around the corner with great food, trinkets and gorgeous sunsets!
Thank you so much for sharing your house with us!
My extended family and I stayed for a week for my sons' graduation from Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
The house was perfect in every way for us. We enjoyed the tennis court, had nightly bonfires in the fire pit and the kids used the bikes and kayak every day. There are bike helmets and life jackets in the garage. This is an uncrowded beautiful part of the Cape away from the hectic touristy areas. But has easy access to groceries and an local ice cream shop.
The home is beautiful and a short walk to a private beach perfect for small children. All the linens, towels and kitchenware were first rate. We had plenty of service wear for the ten of us and even enough for my son and a few of his friends to join us for meals.
The owners were very responsive and great to work with, and the house immaculate.
I will definitely plan on staying here again.
My whole family, young and older enjoyed the vacation and this home. It truly had anything and everything you could need for vacation. Great location, quite and very beautiful area. House was spotless. Owners were great to deal with...and I did email w them a lot for a vaiety of questions. Pleasure to be at their home.
wonderful home, spacious, lovely functional furnishings; lots of windows and sliding glass doors; very well maintained, leave your shoes at the door!; great location
a particularly family friendly home with toys for all ages including adults, easy ingress and egress and the best outdoor shower design we have seen, we had a full house and everyone used the outdoor shower because it was the best showering experience --> open air but private and roomy
We were very pleased with the size, cleanliness and comforts of this home. Many evenings were spent eating on patio, enjoying the private wooded backyard and roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. We rented stand-up paddleboards for the week and along with the owner's kayak, enjoyed many adventures on the water, an easy walk from the house to neighborhood dock area. Loved checking out the sailboats and eating at the Chart Room at the yacht club too. Beds were comfortable, plenty of towels, dishes and chairs for all. Neighbors were friendly and quiet. Played tennis and learned pickle ball from the locals. We were all very sad to leave!!!
My family, including teenagers and young children, rented this property Oct4-6, for a wedding weekend. The accommodations were first rate, plenty of sleeping space , privacy for couples, large common rooms, and activities for all ages were available. The owners, Nikki and Marc were most accommodating and responded to to all correspondence promptly. I would enthusiastically recommend this home to any family , it was very clean ,spacious and convenient to on Cape or off Cape activities. Thanks Nikki and Marc. Sally, Rochester, NY
