Great location, property is older but condo was great. Close to awesome food and grocery stores too
My husband and I liked the location very much however, too many distractions as decorations for such a small place. I hope that they would update the small appliances soon and the small stove top. It too a long time to heat up. The place needs to be cleaned up a little more, I have to clean the toilet myself when I got there.
We would stay there again if all is taken care of.
A Little Slice of Florida Paradise
I love The Shore Thing! Condo #318! I love the condo itself: clean, comfy bed, cute beachy decor, private balcony with glorious sunset views, lots of extras... But best, is the location: steps from the beach, white sand and warm water, shore birds and goofy/graceful pelicans, shells and more shells... LOVE it all!
Beyond that, the resort itself is a comfortable inviting place. Nothing fancy, but the Gulf-side pool (non-smoking - yay!), the Tiki bar and friendly staff, make it a perfect place to simply kick-back and relax...
Across the street is the Shell Shop -- which is a must visit, as is St. John's Pass. As for restaurants, I mostly cook-in (one quick trip up the road to the Publix supermarket, and I'm good for a week), but I did stumble on fabulous pizza, at Gigi's -- best yet, they deliver (perfect for lazy bums like me!). And if the weather isn't cooperating, there's lots of DVDs, games, books, at the condo -- plus St. Petersburg has fantastic museums, art galleries, restaurants...
Finally, booking with iTrip is easy, and Liz, Charles and Brandon are super helpful and friendly. I couldn't ask for anything more!
Sun, sand and surf
Our family of four found the unit clean and attractive. They really had everything we needed. Easy access to laundry, lots of movies and games for the kids, beach toys and gear and comfortable furniture! Ricks Tiki bar downstairs was great as well! We will definitely return!
Didn’t want to leave!
What a beautiful piece of paradise! My husband, 2 daughters, and I absolutely loved staying here. It had everything we needed plus some unexpected luxuries. We loved the dvd collection and the board games. The view from the balcony is amazing! The weather was poor during our whole visit, but staying here made our trip just the relaxing, memorable break that we needed.
great location. clean room and great sun set views. too many pillows.
Explore pristine Florida beaches in the St. Petersburg area, home to Madeira Beach and Treasure Island. Pick from houses, condos and cottages, and get ready to enjoy sugar white sand and warm breezes. Vacations in the St. Petersburg area offer abundant outdoor recreation – on and off the water – a lively arts scene, and award-winning restaurants.
Madeira Beach, located west of St. Petersburg is home to John's Pass Village and Boardwalk, a fun attraction for all ages. John's Pass, or the Pass to locals, offers top dining and nightlife options, family-friendly attractions, shopping and water sports. While walking the 1,100-foot boardwalk, see alligators at The Alligator Attraction and dolphins playing in the Gulf's waters. Walk into dozens of unique shops that sell everything from beachwear to shells to find the perfect souvenir or gift.
Madeira Beach's restaurants welcome family and friends to try the fresh local flavor. Many top-rated restaurants at the Pass feature entertainment, specials and events as well. The Seafood Festival at John's Pass – held annually in October – hosts more than 100,000 guests to celebrate food, music, and arts and crafts.
Water lovers can parasail, rent jet skis or deep-sea fish to complete their beach vacation. John's Pass is also a popular fishing destination and brings in more grouper than any other place in Florida. Visitors can also relax while birdwatching, boating and canoeing, all within easy access of their vacation rental.
Treasure Island – adjacent to St. Petersburg – is another favorite beach town in Florida. Swim, snorkel, fish, parasail and shell at this hot spot, which was named from an early hotel owner who buried and discovered treasure chests on the beach.
Known as a secret spot for sunsets, Treasure Island's 3 miles of beaches serve as the perfect place to watch the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico with someone special. Treasure Island also offers guests fun-filled attractions and things to do, paired with restaurants serving everything from breakfast to fresh seafood dinners.
