House, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)
We would like for you to be our guests in our 1,400 square foot single story home located within a mile of Historic downtown Wickenburg in the quiet and friendly neighborhood, named, Pleasant Valley.
Our home was built in 2004 with some features that would make travelers with limited mobility a bit more comfortable. Please see our amenities.
Wickenburg is named one of the Top True West Towns in America. It has horses, cowboys, cowgirls and yes, even cows. To add to your out west stay we have decorated with a western decor to make you feel part of the old west and make your Stetson feel like it belongs here. Throughout the house are photos of our local events and attractions, such as Gold Rush Days and rodeo
The master bedroom has a queen bed, 27” TV with cable, adjoining master bath with ADA shower and fixtures. The master bedroom also has a walk in closet. One of the secondary bedrooms also has a queen size bed and the other a couch/chaise and desk. You could say it is a 3 bedroom, but we only have two rooms for you to sleep in. There is a hall bath for the secondary bedrooms. The living room has a new leather couch and love seat arranged to watch the TV with DVD/VCR/cable. The dining is set for 4, but a leaf can be used to seat 6.
In the front yard the covered porch with sitting area offers a view of the surrounding mountains and the quiet neighborhood. Out back is a small patio where you can enjoy your morning coffee.
Please, come on out Wickenburg Way!

About Louise Duscher
My wife and I are both native to Arizona. I grew up in old Scottsdale and she in Tempe. We like outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and jeeping. We also like to travel to dive locations and to tour our American history
Louise Duscher purchased this House in 2004
Why Louise Duscher chose Pleasant Valley
We bought our home in Wickenburg in 2002 because we enjoy the high desert scenery and wildlife. The out west small town is just the coolest place to live. It reminded me of where I grew up in old Scottsdale. Even though my parents lived in old Scottsdale since 1956, it did not take much convincing to have them move here with us. The home we are renting was originally built so my parents could live comfortably and close to us. Late in life, my father had to use a walker and a wheelchair on occasion so the construction of the house had these needs in mind. The town of Wickenburg moves at a slower pace and neither traffic nor crowds are a problem. Just simple easy living with great views anywhere you look and you're not out of place when you wear your cowboy hat and boots.
What makes this House unique
I am cheating a little here because my home is just a couple blocks from the house I have for you. A couple things I enjoy that are close by are a hamburger and shake at the drive in. The fact that the movies at the theater always start at the same time. Then there is box canyon which is a local hang out with canyon walls and running water. There you can see off road vehicles, hikers and horses. Just a neat place, and on the way back, stop at the roping arena and watch the cowboys play. December brings in a big car show; October has the fly in at the airport and of coarse Gold Rush Days in February all of this is minutes from the house.

We had a wonderful time - great break from the cold weather! The property is very well maintained and is in a nice neighborhood. Housekeeping came in each week and did a full clean of the house including clean linens. Lots of places to walk or hike if you want...golf courses are nearby also. We would definitely rent again. Thanks Scott and Louise for allowing us to use the home!
Preferred Place to Stay in Wickenburg
The house is very comfortable, and convenient to everything. We visit family in Wickenburg every December, and this home is where we prefer to stay. Much better than any of the motels in town.
Clean and comfy!
My family and I really enjoyed staying here, it was so clean and peaceful. I felt like climbing into bed at home.
Fantastic find in this quaint little town!
We have come to Wickenburg several times and have always stayed in a hotel. Never again! Scott and Louise’s home is so warm and inviting and in a wonderful neighborhood. 2 bedrooms with separate bathrooms and an office with a couch that couldn sleep a small child or two, there is plenty of room for the whole family. Nice patio and gas grill out back, fully furnished, large kitchen and beautiful leather furniture and flat screen TV in the living room. Louise is great at communication and very friendly and honest. This will be our go-to place to stay, for sure! Thank you so much!
Roomy, quiet retreat to get away from work and traffic.
The home was lovely! This is the second time we have had family stay here when visiting Wickenburg. The owners are great to work with and we will definitely recommend family stay here again.
