Why Jim Walker chose Granby

Grand County is so beautiful with all the green, lush surroundings this year! Had been considering Estes Park or points north, but 'Middle Park' is a little less hectic pace. Winter Park/Fraser has lots to offer to do and see, but Granby is a quiet getaway.

What makes this condo unique

The peace & quiet is my favorite thing about the property; that, and the cooler temperatures in the summer time. The property has a pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, sauna, men's/women's locker rooms w/ showers, workout room, racquetball courts, and tennis courts across the pedestrian bridge. Restaurant, bar, gift shop, game arcade, liquor store, and even a post office.

We had a fantastic stay at the condo....the remodel is beautiful!! We had lots of fun!! [Rocky Mountain National] Park was beautiful...all the colors are changing over Trail Ridge Road. We loved the stay and can't wait to get back! (The kids asked if we could go again this weekend!) Thanks for making it available to us! P.S. And I just have to add that I LOVED the plastic Mardi Gras cups!! Made this New Orleans girl feel right at home!!

Had a Wonderful Stay!

Everything about staying here was so simple and relaxed. It's close to an absolutely gorgeous lake for hiking called Lake Granby and is right near great local restaurants, breweries, etc. My friends and I had a blast playing games, using the hot tub, and catching up. It's also a very comfortable place with lots of room for a group and Jim was quick to answer all of my questions. Would definitely come back!

Quaint Colorado Wilderness Theme

This unit is very nice and clean. I am very particular about cleanliness and this place was definitely up to my standards. The lodge is outdated and in disrepair but since this review is about this particular unit I won't let that affect my review. We really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The view off the balcony was beautiful and the unit is decorated in a quaint Colorado wilderness theme. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful condo

The condo itself is very nicely done and is lovely. It feels like you are staying in a cabin. The upstairs has one bed that is in the loft and another that is separated by a door so there is good privacy between the two. I was traveling with a child and I put them in the bedroom since they went to bed early which allowed me to stay up later and not disturb them. There is a nice patio with tables and chairs which overlooks the mts so we had all our meals there. There is a birds nest on the patio which unfortunately means there is also a big pile of bird poop right under the nest on the patio but it didn't really bother us. There are a big group of birds that fly all around the pond below the patio that you can watch. The renovations on the condo are modern but woodsy and it is very comfortable with all the amenities you could need. It does not have AC so can get a little warm in the summer upstairs where the bedrooms are. I opened the windows and turned on the ceiling fans which helped. It has a nice fireplace which would be nice in the winter time.

I agree with a lot of the other reviewers in that the condo is nice but the property is outdated. It looks like it was built in the 80's and never updated since but it was totally acceptable. There aren't many washers and dryers in the building and several didn't work when I was there but that is beyond the owners control. I told the front desk and they may get more in the future from what they told me.

There is an indoor/outdoor pool which got rowdy at night but the condo is far enough away that it wasn't an issue. It also has four hot tubs (although only two were open when we went).

There is a cool arcade room for the kids to play in with a pool table, foosball, skeetball and multiple video games.

The condo is a quick drive to the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park (which is why we were staying there). If you are wanting to spend a lot of time on the east side of the park, you should probably stay in Estes Park because it is a long drive to the east side from the condo. However, I think the west side of the park is lovely and we saw many moose and elk on the west side near Granby and Grand Lake. The town of Granby is quaint and has a grocery store nearby as well as some restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Inside was amazing!!

The resort is old and hall ways smell, but once we got into our condo it was like being in a different world. Condo was perfect!

Unit was great

The unit was great, updated, and everything went smoothly. The Inn at Silver Creek is a great location and the kids love it. The complex is a little dated, but very clean. Based on this, I give it 5 stars. There were a few negatives that are beyond the control of the owner. There seems to be a bird infestation with hundreds of birds nesting in an area just to the side of the pool. Of course, hundreds of birds create a lot of bird poop. Also, even though there were signs all over saying no smoking, it always smelled like smoke on the third floor when we came up staircase B. The last little irritant was the arcade - half the games don't work. When I asked to get the lost $1.50 back from the front desk, they seemed irritated and just said the game room is not run by the Inn. I made the point that the arcade was in the Inn, but they did not care. No big deal, just rolled with it.

Again, the overall unit was great with a much better view overlooking the pond than many other units.

The damage deposit will be refunded after inspection of the unit by the cleaning service. Should any excessive cleaning be needed, extra charges will be withheld from the deposit. Please tidy up if you spill, set the dishwasher to run upon leaving, and take excess trash to the dumpsters outside Entrance E.

Minimum age requirement for rentals. Pets only allowed if pre-approved and Pet Addendum to Rental Agreement is completed.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
