Beyond disappointing!
We booked this apartment because of the location and the view. After reading some negative reviews, my husband contacted the owner for more info. The owner stated the negative reviews were from shifty people hoping to get a refund.
HOWEVER: This place was just nasty. The bed linens were stained and old with yellow discoloration along the edges and the fabric was pilled. Dusty, dirty and dingy! There was not a clean glass in the house. The furniture was worn out and dirty. To the point that none of us would sit on the couches. The apartment was advertised as having air conditioning. The only a/c was in one bedroom that froze up during the night, dripped on our headboard and splattered on our heads. The other bedroom had no a/c, no window and no closet.
When we arrived in town we could not find the apartment. We were originally directed to get the keys from a lockbox on site. When we called the property management company, they told us we would have to come to their office to get the keys but the address they gave us for their office is also an address in a near by town. Yes….using Google Maps…we went to the wrong town to get the keys! They refused to meet us at the property to bring us the keys.
Oh, and the view: I pulled weeds from the planter boxes for an hour in order to see the view of the lake.
We tried to find another place to go but there were no vacancies in the vicinity.
This place needs lots of attention from the owner and the housekeeper!
