royce purchased this chateau / country house in 2011
The weather and amount of things to do is why I bought in this area. Plus my 3 children live in Los Angeles
Fantastic weather, views, and lots to do
The place was perfect. In the country where you can enjoy the surrounding beauty but still close enough to what Paso has to offer. Royce was the perfect host. We loved talking to her and meeting all her animals. Would definitely stay here again
We enjoyed our stay over the Thanksgiving Holiday. The view was beautiful and we would go for walks everyday. The house had everything we needed and very comfortable. In the rental agreement, it stated to make sure you open the flue for the fireplace. We brought a lot of wood for a fire and there was no fireplace. Also the coffee maker did not work and there isn't anywhere close to just go get coffee. Royce, who rents the property was very nice and helpful. Told us of good wineries to go to and also a great place for dinner. I would recommend renting this place and we will definitely rent it again.
Our extended family gathered here for Grandma's 80th., having two houses made it easy for those who wanted a little peace to hide out for a while.
Amazing views, and the animals were entertaining.
My parents rented both house so all the adults in our family could go wine tasting. The property is amazing with views in all directions and the animals are too much fun. Horses and vineyards for miles. We visited quite a few wineries and took a tour at Steinbeck Vineyards (that was a blast). My husband and I are already planning our next trip. Both houses came with most everything you would need. So much space it was easy for everyone to just hang out together (doesn't matter which house or room in the house or on the patios). Overall it was a GREAT weekend with family and friends. I will be going back!!!!
My husband and I stayed in the smaller home for a weekend. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved relaxing there and especially enjoyed the amazing views. So peaceful and relaxing. We would definitely go back!
I couldn't have imagined the amazing views from every window and door! Nestled in the in the country with views of rolling hills, olive trees and vineyards. In the evenings the sky displays stars for miles. A close drive to quite a lot including the grocery store, vineyards and downtown Paso Robles. During our short stay we happily divided our time between Firestone Brewery, visits to several local wineries and shopping in downtown Paso Robles (great cheese and olive oil shops.)! The yard (both front and back) are fenced in so our 2 dogs were safe and plenty of room to roam or play fetch.
We rented both the small and large home, which are attached but both have privacy. We used every room and bathroom in the house and each guest was happy. There was ample space for all (Whether taking some time for oneself or all gathered in the kitchen or living rooms). The kitchen in the larger house served us well. I would only say be prepared for some kitchen appliances, pots, pans, etc that have seen better days and being in the country you will (no surprise) come across bugs, etc but we were able to make due with little inconvenience.
Another immeasurable bonus is that the homes were also pretty safe for an almost 2 year old who likes to explore.
Well worth it, highly recommend these rentals.
there is so much to do in this area--wine tasting, missions, seals, Hearst Castle, Solvang, lovely beaches, Big Sur, Museums, hiking, biking, swimming, surfing, horseback riding, Cambria, Avila Beach, plays, concerts.........
