About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Den, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)

This beautiful, spacious cape home is terrific for families and couples alike. The open floor plan on the ground level (with kitchen, dining and living room and fireplace) and the large deck is perfect for relaxing, dining and entertaining.

In the high season, we do Sunday to Sunday rentals. Most rental turn over on Saturday. You avoid a lot of traffic hassle by coming on a Sunday.

If you come as a couple, you will have plenty of room but won't feel as if you are rattling around in a huge house. The ground level has the kitchen, living and dining areas, bathroom, as well as a deck. A second couple can have total privacy in the lower level with a Queen bed and 2nd bathroom.

Families may want to use the well-furnished lower level as well. This has two bedrooms, one with a Queen bed and the other with 4 twin beds (one is a day bed with trundle.) Between them is a comfortable living area and bathroom. Outside in another huge deck and outdoor shower.

You can also relax and play on the small, private beach which is a very short walk down to Town cove, an inlet from the Ocean. Other wonderful swimming options are Nauset beach on the ocean, Skaket beach on the bay, (both just a ten minute drive) Crystal Lake (just a few miles away) and the ponds at Nickerson State Park, also just a ten minute drive.

Great open living space and rear decks, close to Nauset Beach!

  • 5 of 5

We had a lot of fun being able to cook and hang out in the living area without feeling crammed in, loved the open living concept, full of breeze and light. We also enjoyed the exterior decks, grilling, sitting inside the screened porch for dinner, and even using the lower rear deck for a yoga session in the morning. Overall, the house is very comfortable and welcoming for a large group of people. We also enjoyed the location of the house and its proximity to Nauset Beach. We brought our own bikes and were able bike to the beach in 15 mins. Most of the bedrooms were located on the ground floor of the building, where it was much cooler but felt a bit damp. There is a dehumidifier running all day but can become an non-issue if you open the windows and doors to let fresh air run through.

Ruth was very communicative and wanted to ensure we had everything we needed to make our stay pleasant. Thank you!

Well Appointed

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed at this lovely home in late August to attend my niece's wedding. The home was so well appointed! The rooms were large and very clean. We were a group of 7 and were more than comfortable with the amount of space. We spent most of our time on the outside decks. My mother has a breathing problem so it was important to have air conditioning in our rental - there was a unit in each room! My husband is a gourmet cook and we are used to bringing our own cookware - it never got unpacked - this home had everything! I would highly recommend this home for a large amount of guests!

Relaxing week at the Cape

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at this Orleans house was great! The house was spacious and comfortable for our party of seven. The kitchen had more than enough tools to prepare a feast every evening! Dinners on the deck were relaxing and peaceful! Make sure you go on the whale watch out of Provincetown! It was awesome!

All the comforts of home plus more! Would go back in a heartbeat!

Perfect location...superb view...great house

  • 5 of 5

My husband and another couple spent a great few days at this well-appointed, exceptionally clean house in the best location for access to anything you'd like to do or see on the Cape. Orleans is a nice town that is Mid-Cape; the house, looking rural but so close to town, shopping and excellent restaurants is an ideal spot for families; couples; all ages. The kitchen is very well prepared for cooking anything. The main floor is open concept and the view of the Cove is great. The screened porch and the separate deck are perfect for outdoor cooking and eating or just kicking back and enjoying the view. The ocean and bay beaches are minutes away. We stayed there in October - a beautiful time of year but we can only imagine how great it would be in the summer. Ruth and Phil, the owners, were very responsive to our inquiries and needs. They also provided us plenty of information about various places to shop and to eat. We are looking forward to another opportunity to spend time at this rental.

Great place to stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were looking to have a wedding on Cape Cod, since we were planning it off-season we thought it would be a little easier to do. Not the case. Every wedding hall was booked and we did not know what we were going to do. Well, Phi and Ruth came to our rescue! From a mutual friend we learned about their house. It was PERFECT!! We catered our rehearsal dinner there and because of rainy weather we did not have a beach wedding, but we had the ceremony inside the house. It turned out to be better than we could have ever imagined. The house was decorated with flowers and the large windows provided a lovely scenic backdrop for our ceremony. The house is great!! Very clean, large kitchen and the upper and lower decks are great for relaxing or having a nice get together with friends. We plan to visit the house again for our upcoming anniversary. Also, beaches and great restaurants are close by.

Nearest Beach
2.5 Miles
Car: recommended

Orleans has all of the charms of Cape Cod, along with many conveniences such as multiple grocery stores, a great library, playground, art galleries, etc. Our property is conveniently located half way between the bay and the Ocean and very close to town. The Cape Cod rail trail runs right through town and a wonderful place to bike and see the beauty of the Cape.
