About the property

Apartment, 6 beds, 2 bathrooms, Sleeps 1-8,

It is hard to beat the location or size of this loft. Everyone always comments that it is bigger than it looks in the pictures.

It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, huge bar/eating area, 60in flat screen and a pool table.

This loft is not good for smokers as the entrance is through a non-smoking courtyard; renters are not allowed to congregate in the courtyard.

Located just off of boulevard St. Laurent and Duluth the loft is minutes from nightlife, restaurants, shopping, pastry shops, and parks.

Specializing in groups, the loft has a single-over-double bunk bed and single-over-single bunk bed, plus two separate bedrooms each with a queen bed. All beds are made with good, clean linens and the duvets covers are washed each time; all mattresses are new; the queens and twins are bamboo memory foam mattresses. Everything is encased in quality, protective guards.

There are two bathrooms. One has a claw foot tub with shower and a double sink, plus a handicap toilet and safety rail; the other bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink, making this location great for groups that need a little privacy.

The entire loft is cleaned with the strictest of sanitary standards. Of course, this is best accomplished through the respectful participation of all guests.

A welcoming space with everything you need to enjoy your time in Montreal, including wireless internet, washer, dryer, dishwasher, fully stocked kitchen, towels, and an iron. Most importantly, this space has a great energy. Everyone notices it.

The location is ideal, at least from the perspective of this Montreal resident! The loft is located in the Plateau just off St-Laurent and Duluth, near downtown and McGill University, within blocks of Montreal's world-renowned festivals (Just for Laughs, International Jazz Festival, St. Laurent Street Fair, etc.) and surrounded by Montreal's best restaurants, shopping, cafes and nightlife. Within 10 minutes of two metros and minutes from many major bus routes, this loft is central but not in the tourist centre. A short walk to the famous Sunday Tam Tam, Schwartz’s famous smoked meat, Moishes steakhouse, Le Resevoir, and Romados chicken, and the neighborhood street festivals that happen all summer, the location is ideal for different adventures in Montreal on foot, by public transport, bixi bike or one of Montreal’s famous bike tours. Please ask the host for advice for your areas of interest.

I'm always looking for renters for 31 days or more! I built this loft for my mother to live in when she is in Montreal, so I cannot accept annual leases.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Comfortable flat in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed in the condo for a week. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us! We utilized the metro to get around town, visiting several museums and frequenting the farmers market at Jean Talon! Kitchen had everything we needed for fixing a meal and the washer/dryer was an added touch. We will definitely consider staying here again for a future Montreal visit!

Terrific apartment in the heart of the Plateau

  • 5 of 5

Marie is a superb host, and she has thought of everything you might need for your stay, including giving lots of advice on places to eat and things to do in the neighborhood and in Montreal. Communication was excellent, and she even helped us with parking.

The flat itself is spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The location (on a courtyard with several other flats) is unique and feels European. We were two families of four traveling together, and the space was perfect for us: bedrooms for each of the couples, one bedroom for the kids. The listing description was very accurate, and I especially appreciated the video tour of the property. The linens were soft and the towels were plentiful. The pool table was well utilized by our crew! It is a charming place.

This is a great neighborhood, and our time there gave us a feel for what it would be like to live in Montreal. The Mont Royal Metro stop is about 7 mins walk. The Saint-Laurent Metro stop is a bit farther, but you can also take the 55 bus to and from that stop. The 55 bus will also take you, in the other direction, to Jean-Talon Market. There are bike share racks very close by, and one member of our group rented a bike to ride over to the bagel shops in Mile End. There are parks nearby (neighborhood parks as well as Mont Royal), LOTS of restaurants, and all the basics you'd need: grocery, pharmacy, SAQ liquor and wine shop, fromagerie, boulangerie. You will definitely not have trouble finding food and drinks nearby!

I highly recommend Boulangerie Les Co'Pains on Rachel for all of your carb needs. Fantastic pastry, and the best Tourtière aux viands I've ever had (don't tell my mother I said that). Vielle Europe on Saint-Laurent is great for cheese. Take the trip (about 20 mins on the bus) to get produce at Jean Talon, but there's also a good produce stand at the Mont Royal metro.

If you want a stay in a unique, beautiful place in an interesting, fun neighborhood, this a very good choice.

Very Nice!

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of 5 family members gather in this apartment for a week of fun in Montreal. It was the ideal set up for us. The apartment is lovely - clean, well equipped, spacious. Marie is more than accomodating - she truly goes out of her way to help you with everything from finding a space parking spot to where to get your hair cut. She is delightful and welcoming. The location of the apartment is great. There are lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. And of course for the evenings ther are very pleasant bars and micros close as well.

Thank you Marie. When we head back we will reach out to you again.

Staying at Marie's vacation home in Le Plateau-Mont-Royal

  • 5 of 5

Marie's vacation home met all our needs and was exactly as described. The home itself is spacious, comfortable, 3 bedrooms with excellent beds, and 2 bathrooms, very clean and well maintained, and in an excellent location - Le Plateau. We could use either the Sherbrooke or Mont Royal Metro stations and used the #11 bus to go up to Mont Royal. Walking throughout the area was so pleasant, very good cafés and restaurants were within walking distance. Since we were there in very hot August, we went to the public swimming pool at Parc Sir-Wilfred-Laurier, just a few blocks from the Laurier Metro stop. And best of all was the advice Marie gave in response to my questions. It was a great.

Great flat in fabulous location

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in Montreal in large part for having such a comfortable place to stay. There was plenty of room and lots of extra amenities. We had breakfast there every day. Because there were so many different and interesting restaurants in the immediate area we ate out other times. There were 8 of us including 4 children and 1 teen. They all enjoyed the flat with the pool table, large TV, games, blocks, bunk beds and the area. There is a good playground on the other side of the block. Also there is a metro station, shops and grocery within easy walking distance.

The flat was clean, well equipped, with plenty of towels and supplies. Marie was very helpful with the planning of our trip.

If we go to Montreal again I would definitely stay here.
