My husband and I checked into here for an early 5 year anniversary trip before he left on military orders. We had actually honeymooned at this resort and were so excited to return. The amenities here are the best. Excellent pool, great outdoor cooking area. It also has an outdoor fireplace, but it's currently not working. The room itself is okay. There's plenty of space and the finishes are nice. It felt like the housekeeping had really not done the best job cleaning, but there were obvious things that should have been taken care of that made you feel like perhaps the whole room was just skipped over. The shower curtain had green mold all over it. Also, the comforter had rips in it...not small ones, but large noticeable ones. Things that should have been obvious to anyone cleaning the apartment. We called the property management area upon arriving (around 7:00 or so) to the condo to alert them of what we discovered. The maintenance guy was very nice and came around 10:00 or so to change our shower curtain. The lady I spoke with on the phone was kind of in disbelief when I told her about the comforter, but she told me they probably couldn't bring us a new one that day, but would for sure the next day. No one ever came to bring us one or call us the entire stay to let us know why they didn't come. If these things are addressed and better taken care of then this room would be excellent to stay in. Overall, the stay was okay, but for the amount of money we spend the quality was mediocre. I am coming back to Orange Beach in May, and probably won't choose this place to stay unless the maintenance issues were addressed.
