Overview

About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

Welcome to our 4-season cabin with a gorgeous view of Kabekona Bay, Leech Lake, MN. Built in 2003, the A-frame style sleeps 4 comfortably and includes a private marina with boat slip and swimming dock. We are 3 miles from Walker and right next to Paul Bunyan and Heartland Trails. Enjoy hiking and biking in the beautiful north woods as well as snowmobiling on the 1,000 miles of groomed trails.

Kabekona Bay is easily accessible to the main lake, yet the bay is usually calm and the water is warm. Great for lake sports. Rentals of jet skis and water toys are available in Walker.

Hunting and fishing are excellent here. DNR considers Leech Lake one of the top walleye producing lakes in the state. Trophy muskie and plentiful pan fish are taken from the lake each year. Located in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest, there is easy access to public hunting.

The city of Walker is 3 miles away, accessible by auto, boat, snowmobile or bike. It is a special place that many fall in love with. There are many excellent restaurants, bars/entertainment, unique-one of kind stores, coffee/ice cream shops, bait and water rental spots. A spacious city park and beach are in the heart of the town. Walker is a place you will want to visit again.

We hope you will visit our cozy cabin on the bay, smell the pine trees, enjoy the abundant birds and wildlife, catch lots of fish, explore the nearby trails, relax with a beverage on the deck, and take in all this area has to offer.

Location, Location, Location

  • 4 of 5

The accommodations were 5 star. The location was 3 star. I could not have asked for a better place to stay. Everything was modern and up to date and worked well. This was more a home than you'd picture a cabin. Central heating and AC. Satellite TV and wifi. Even a washer-dryer system. The location was a bummer. It sat up on a hill overlooking a county highway. No view of the lake. To get to the lake was a block walk down the hill and across the highway to a small marina where the owner had a slip. I met the owner. He stayed in the "cabin" next door and a great guy. Also the cabin was in a group of 5 or 6 other homes/cabins, so no isolation, although

there was little or no activity in those other places during my stay. I would prefer more privacy and isolation

Perfect Up North Experience

  • 5 of 5

The Cabin was perfect, we used it as a base for an Ice Fishing weekend. The cabin was clean, cozy, warm and had everything we needed to start of fun weekend the moment we unlocked the door. We had the opportunity to meet the owner during our stay and were made to feel welcomed and relaxed. We'll definitely ask to stay here again.

Great Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We stayed a few nights in January of 2017 during an ice fishing trip. The cabin was very comfortable and was just what we needed each night after we got off the lake.
