Overview

About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

Welcome to our 4-season cabin with a gorgeous view of Kabekona Bay, Leech Lake, MN. Built in 2003, the A-frame style sleeps 4 comfortably and includes a private marina with boat slip and swimming dock. We are 3 miles from Walker and right next to Paul Bunyan and Heartland Trails. Enjoy hiking and biking in the beautiful north woods as well as snowmobiling on the 1,000 miles of groomed trails.

Kabekona Bay is easily accessible to the main lake, yet the bay is usually calm and the water is warm. Great for lake sports. Rentals of jet skis and water toys are available in Walker.

Hunting and fishing are excellent here. DNR considers Leech Lake one of the top walleye producing lakes in the state. Trophy muskie and plentiful pan fish are taken from the lake each year. Located in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest, there is easy access to public hunting.

The city of Walker is 3 miles away, accessible by auto, boat, snowmobile or bike. It is a special place that many fall in love with. There are many excellent restaurants, bars/entertainment, unique-one of kind stores, coffee/ice cream shops, bait and water rental spots. A spacious city park and beach are in the heart of the town. Walker is a place you will want to visit again.

We hope you will visit our cozy cabin on the bay, smell the pine trees, enjoy the abundant birds and wildlife, catch lots of fish, explore the nearby trails, relax with a beverage on the deck, and take in all this area has to offer.

The cabin was awesome, great access to lake and marina, short distance to town if you needed anything, quick access to bike trail - definitely will stay there again :)

Really nice accommodations for Northern Minnesota

  • 5 of 5

Love all the amenities of wi fi, cable and air conditioning. Beautiful deck to have coffee in the morning. Not right on the lake but I believe you do have access. My extended family all rent cabins less than a quarter of a mile away so it is perfect for me. This is the third year I have stayed here. The beds are great and this year new furniture and tv. The kitchen is fully furnished but it seems every year you have to buy something that is missing like a colander and measuring cup. All we did was go to the dollar general in town and purchased these items. Left the items behind and hope it is there next year when we return! Great place.

Comfortable and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed here for a week and we really enjoyed it. The cabin was clean, the beds were comfortable. It was close to the lake, bike trails, and not too far from town. It was quiet and peaceful, and even though other cabins were around, we didn't hear any noise or hardly see anyone during our stay (except on the paths, etc.) Greg answered all our questions and did so very quickly. We would definitely stay here again.

Many activities and close to shopping and restaurants. Caught fish, bike and hiking trails excellent. Perfect MN lakes vacation, amazing scenery. Hot weather and perfect AC comfort. We've stayed there each summer for about 10 years. Always a great time.
