Wonderful property - rustic and well-maintained

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time in Dubois! We were there for the solar eclipse and stayed in this rustic, well maintained and comfortable cabin. The water supply to the cabin is dependent upon deliveries by water truck to the cabin’s water storage tank and the only issue we had is that the tank was just half full when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon and we were out of water by Sunday night in spite of our efforts to use the water sparingly. Our party of 10 consumed a lot of water in showers, cooking and toilet flushes. Even though we asked the manager on Saturday afternoon to order more water he did not deliver this water to us until Tuesday morning so we could not cook, do dishes, shower or flush the toilet from Sunday evening until late on Tuesday morning. This was our only disappointment with the property and had the water tank been full when we arrived we would have given 5 stars as everything else was wonderful.

Big house, excellent view

  • 4 of 5

Very much liked the view of mountains out of the windows. Bedrooms worked well for the 11 of us. Two bathrooms worked well also.

Only thing we did not like was the 2 1/2 mile drive on the dirt road to get to the house.

Thanks for the good time we were able to enjoy in one large house.

Clean, Plenty of Room, and Great Views

  • 5 of 5

Getting to the cabin was no problem at all. The driveway is a little steep, but Marc recommends you have a 4x4 anyway, so that's no surprise. The cabin itself was clean and well kept with plenty of space and fantastic views. The instructions were clear and the place worked out great. There was even a bucket of toys downstairs that my 3-year-old loved playing with.

Wonderful view

  • 4 of 5

Absolutely beautiful view. There was everything you needed there including toys for our 2 yr old and a pack n play which was helpful at night. The only thing I wish there was more of was pots and pans. They were kind of older and the Teflon had wore off some, but it worked fine. The downstairs was wonderful for the kids because they had their own space. With everyone upstairs (8), it could get a little crowded but that's why it was nice there was a downstairs for the kids to go to after dinner. Beautiful place and we enjoyed our stay.

Owner's Response: Very glad to hear that you guys enjoyed your stay at the cabin! Thanks so much for writing a review and thanks, too, for the feedback about the pots and pans. We'll be sure get these items upgraded. -Marc & Melissa MG Real Estate Management Co.
