My 2 bedroom and 2 bath condo was completed in early 2009 and is only a 5 minute walk to beach and 20 minute walk to the historic downtown of San Jose. With a 20 minute drive to Cabo San Lucas, all the nightlife you could wish for is available.

The condominium complex is located close to the Sea of Cortez; the beach is a 5 minute walk from the front gate. The condo backs onto an expansive, well maintained 9 hole golf course; we are on the 3rd green. There is an ocean view from our rear balcony. Enjoy dining at the many fine restaurants in both San Jose and Cabo San Lucas. Of particular interest, and two of our favorite eateries, are: Don Sanchez, located along the main strip in San Jose, and Chato Burger, a small bar that’s been frequently and positively reviewed, along the same street. In the midst of the Art District is the Baja Brewery; served there is a variety of in-house brewed beer. Snorkeling at both Santa Maria Beach and Chileno Beach is a must. Of course, a trip to the Mexican Baja would not be complete without driving to Cerritos Beach, on the Pacific Ocean, for surfing and bodyboarding. The historic Todos Santos is a short drive further up the highway. The condominium complex’s large pool and palapa area is the perfect location to kick back, suntan, enjoy a book or swim.

If you want to rent a vehicle, you will need to park it outside of the property gates. I have my truck there taking up the one allocated parking spot.

Internet provided. HDMI cable provided with TV to stream from your laptop. Android box is also provided and DVD player with library of movies. No satellite TV or Cable hooked up.

I am an engineer working in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Northern Canada. To escape the cold, I travel to the condo as often as I am able.

What makes this condo unique

Love this condo complex!!!

This was our first stay in this property but our second in this condo complex. The complex and pool is beautiful and clean with an outdoor area covered by a palapa that expands your living space. The unit itself was beautiful and having the bedrooms on opposite ends of the condo added an extra measure of privacy. The beds were comfortable and the furnishings tasteful and restful. The eating area and the futon on the balcony were used daily! The owner left us a welcome note as well a a bottle of wine and some tasty treats. It was especially nice having water jugs and dispenser provided for us!

The kitchen had brand new pots but no trays or cookie sheets for our daily nachos by the pool. The cutlery drawer seemed more like a junk drawer with dull knives and mismatched utensils. It's a minor thing but the rest of the condo being so nice did make that issue stand out. I would definitely stay here again!!!

Owner's Response: I have had other renters complain about the lack of cookie sheets, for some reason they can't be found down in Mexico, we are bringing some down next trip in our luggage. A bright, airy and comfortable place with many great attributes.

The condo faces south on a golf course with the ocean partially in view. With the front windows and back bedroom window open, there is always a pleasant breeze blowing through. We were there in March and although the weather was warm, we found we never needed to use the air conditioning. Any time spent on the patio is priceless but mornings are the best. Evenings are also pleasant on the patio and you can sleep there on the futon if you wish. The living room and bedrooms are roomy and comfortable. The bathrooms are roomy and the entire place is very clean. The complex is secure and Laura and the rest of the staff at Peninsula Condos are very helpful and accommodating. The owner, Kirk, was always quick to get back to us if we had any questions and he's just a very good guy. It's well located with many excellent restaurants within walking distance. Armando, the security guard speaks good English and knows the area well. La Comer, the super-super market is a 15 minute walk away and downtown San Jose is about a 1/2 hour walk. Looking forward to our next visit.

Wonderful stay

The condo is located in a quiet gated community. The location is great as you are only a couple of blocks from the beach and a 10 minute walk to the La Comer store. We golfed a lot so that was convenient as the condo borders the course. No need to use any air conditioning as a nice breeze blows through the unit which keeps it cool. We settled in very well for our 6 week stay. I would highly recommend Kirk's condo. The condo was very clean when we arrived and Laura, the manager, was very helpful if we needed anything done. There was no need to rent a car as the bus system is very good and walking around San Jose is very easy.

Just as advertised. Owner was an absolute pleasure to deal with.

This was a relatively small condo development, well located, residents and staff were very helpful and friendly. The palapa area was fabulous. It was large and welcoming and very often was not busy...almost private every morning. The grounds are well manicured and very clean as was the entire complex. Security was excellent, someone at the gate at all times, they even helped us with luggage and groceries. Laura, the manager and her staff were very helpful, from getting a small problem with the hot water fixed very quickly to calling a cab to take us to the airport! The grocery store was a 10-12 min. walk, beach about 6 min. and the restaurants about 5 min. (a good variety of bars and full service restaurants, even a small convenience store, etc and shopping) and of course the golf course, which we didn't use but looked excellent. Beds were comfortable, dishwasher was much appreciated as was the washer dryer. The artwork made it feel homey. Used a HDMI to HDMI micro to connect our tablets to the TV and enjoyed all our Canadian programs from back home.

Great Vacation!

The condo was good the owner was extremely easy to work with and very informative. The condo was clean and comfortable, it was close to downtown San Jose and not too far from the marina at La Playita for fishing. We had an excellent 6 week stay.

Excellent Vacation Spot

I stayed in this condo for two weeks this month and had a fabulous time. The location, serenity, view and comfort of the condo was more then I had expected. It was a treat to be able to cook your own meals, set your own schedule, have access to laundry ensuring that you don't have to carry excess baggage when travelling and all the home amenities you would want.

When you want to go out it is a short stroll to a modern strip of restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and general store which makes fantastic sandwiches. There are taxis lined up across the street which will take you anywhere for relatively small fare if you did not rent a vehicle. The restaurants were some of the best I have been to which amazed me as I have to date always gone to all inclusive resorts and found the food lacking whether the resort was a 4 or 5+ star. After this experience I will never be a slave to an all inclusive again I have converted to renting and probably this condo exclusively as San Jose del Cabo Lucas seemed to have all the amenities I was looking for and this condo met all my expectations.

The owner was so friendly and helpful with this transition to a condo vacation and gave me excellent directions and information. The people in the condo complex are very friendly and congregate at the gorgeous sea water (no chemicals yayyy) pool every afternoon where you can either lay in the sun or go for the shade in the well appointed palapa.

I definitely intend to return and will extend my stay as it was difficult to leave after only 10 days. I have booked for 2015 and am looking at 2016. Thank you Kirk after this brutal winter your condo was exactly what the doctor ordered
